About the footwork dvds, I have to say it does help. After a few sessions, you'll feel that you're lighter on your feet, and getting into positions are much easier.

Good idea of marking the balls, and it may work on the lower tier. But my current level and higher, I don't think it will make much difference since the balls are travelling at a blistering pace that it is almost impossible to see the spin.
