I tripped over a barrier once, falling face-flat to the floor. I did a major FH loop and hit myself with the edge of the blade right in the middle of my forehead. I had a vertical bruise running down my forehead for like 2 weeks. Just try explaining that to the people at work :p

I've done some coaching for high-schoolers. Haven't got any level though. But as me being a high school teacher, I just can't help but coaching everyone. Sometimes the other players in the club don't like that, but they generally appreciate it :p

I think if you want to improve, you definately need good equipment. You can only understand spin if you have spinny rubbers yourself. I just compiled a new blade for an intermediate player in my club which should suit him very well, and the price is still decent...

A good friend of mine plays with it since 6 months or so. He's quite a good player and he's very happy with it. The speed/control ratio is very satisfying. He is mostly a driving - blocking - hitting player, and as the ALC is foremost a topspin-frame, it seems to me you can do anything with it...
