  2. Rubber change or stay with the same?

Hi I just received my first Aurus Soft rubber, trying it out coming Thursday or Friday (been training 3 days in a row now and I'm exhausted :) ) I play Aurus Sound 2.1 on FH now and 1.9 on BH and I'm very pleased with it. I wonder how the Soft will feel compared to the 'sound' version. The...
  3. What are some of the worst anger outbreaks you've seen?

A friend of mine threw this racket right across five(!) tables while people were playing on them to eventually smashing into the wall into two pieces. He got thrown out of the tournament for that. (as he should be! :) )

  5. Rubber change or stay with the same?

You have a personal grudge with Tibhar? I play Tibhar and I love their rubbers. Nothing personal, just curious why Tibhar is excluded from your list...

  7. Multiball drills

I know this female player, playing with anti-topspin rubber, and everytime the opponent pushes to her backhand, she just smashes it right down the line. The look on the opponent's faces is just priceless :)

  9. What table tennis rubbers & blade do you use?

If my signature works, you should see my equipment right below this post :d
  10. Multiball drills

I know many people (including myself sometimes) have trouble topspinning pushed balls with BH. 90% of the time though, your opponent will either serve or return serve with underspin to your BH as soon as he notices you can't attack with it. Therefor it is very important that you focus on this...
  11. Improving Service

Wiwa, if you look at the Timo Boll video in the first post of the thread, you can see Timo do the pendulum up to the 45th second, and he starts doing reverse pendulum from the 46th second onwards. - With normal pendulum, you brush the ball with your blade coming towards your body (regular FH...

  13. Talking during the rally

Since we've been discussing the stamping thing, another item popped up in my head: If a player sighs/grunts/shouts/curses during a rally, is that legal? Some examples: 1. A player curses because he thinks he mis-hit the ball, yet the ball still lands on the table. 2. A player shouts out...
  14. Is it illegal to stamp your foot while serving?

I must say I've never had an opponent complaining about my stamping. In any table tennis hall in Belgium you can hear the stamping as soon as you enter the building :-) I do agree that stamping during the rally, with the intent to annoy your opponent, should be receiving penalty from the ref.

A black table would be magical! With orange flooring and a white ball :d
  16. A Tibhar Aurus Sound review for you all

I have both an aurus sound 1.9 and an aurus soft 2.1 coming towards me next week. Looking forward to review them both. Will start a new thread for the "Soft" version.
  17. Multiball drills

This is what I consider a good multiball drill: Underspin ball on BH --> Topspin cross Counterhit-ball on BH --> pivot to FH and topspin cross Counterhit-ball on mid-table --> FH topspin to adversary's BH Counterhit-ball on FH --> FH topspin cross or down the line. Second exercise: 1. Short...
  18. Is it illegal to stamp your foot while serving?

I agree with Carl and forgot to mention it myself. The downward body movement one creates by stamping is yet another increase of speed/spin on the serve (when desired). If you think of it, it's quite logical. For a good service, you use: - your wrist - your elbow - your shoulder - your trunk...
  19. Is it illegal to stamp your foot while serving?

I often stamp to disguise the speed and spin of the serve. I like to give a fast heavy spinned serve with stamp first, and then stamp just as hard to give the next floating short ball serve. That really works! It also gives me the feeling of standing real steady on my feet to hit the third ball.
  20. Andro Supreme Kinetic Zylon/Hinoki OFF-

Hi Rhydian & everybody else The problem is that I don't really know how to review a blade. The only thing I can really say, is that this is the nicest blade I've ever played with considering the speed of it, yet not losing control. My blade history: - Butterfly BalsaCarbon X5 (the balsa went...
