  4. Bat, racket or paddle - what do you call it?

Hahaha... Great. Your knowledge of german is pretty impressive. In fact i´ve also heard the term 'Kelle', but as you said mostly used by youngsters that just started playing. The word 'schläger' applies as well as for a Tennis racket, Squash racket, but also for a golf club and for a cricket...
  5. Bat, racket or paddle - what do you call it?

In German we say 'Schläger' which literally translated means hitter. But i've also heard things like 'Keule' and 'Gerät'. In swabian german one guy also said 'Batscher' which would be a slang word for hitter. I guess regional slangs like bavarian, hassian or north german have a few terms more...

Maybe read GiangT's post once again. He clearly wrote: “I would not recommend you to buy a preassembled racket“ If you want start playing seriously then most premades won't be what you need. One of the advantages of custom made rackets (or i should rather call 'em non-preassembled rackets) is...
  12. Another Rating System Much More Accurate Than the ITTF World Ranking

Really? Dude, you really are an interesting character. I might even believe that this wasn't your main intention, but how would you call it, when someone judges over something that didn't even have the chance to prove how good or bad it really is? I mean c'mon, the new ranking system today is...
  13. Tutorial: How To Best Clean Tacky Rubber

  14. Another Rating System Much More Accurate Than the ITTF World Ranking

In my ranking list Xu Xin is No#1! [Emoji23] My ranking favours who makes the most spectacular shots. Oh wait, just made up a new one... Now Jun Mizutani is first closely followed by Tiago Apolonia and the all time legend Mikael Appelgren. FYI this ranking list favours who is the best fisher...
  15. Ittf stupiiiiiiiiiid ranking

Not sure how much we need a separate ERT ranking system. If it turns out like boxing then we could end up with everyone having their own personal ranking system. In Astana at the Grand finals the ITTF and T2 Apac decided to cooperate more in the future, Frank Ji and Thomas Weikert said in an...

  18. Media coverage of Table Tennis

In Germany TT on TV has become much less compared to the eighties when i started playing and getting interested. Before they showed like a 5 to 10 minute recap of Bundesliga matches on national free tv or had guys like Guo YueHua or Jan Ove Waldner on one of the biggest German sport shows as a...
  19. DHS Hurricane 3 neo lack speed?

TG is the short form for skyline Skyline3 = tg3 Skyline2 = tg2 But nevertheless you could have a point, 'cause the rubbers are quite old. They are on one of my mate's old backup blades so the rubbers are also pretty old too. It's H3 on fh and tg2 on bh. If I remember correctly TTD member Bob...
