Photino is basically the same thing only with zylon instead of carbon. Maybe there is a slight thickness difference but the layers and woods are the same.

You need to play with it for awhile and wait for the tackiness to wear off slightly. If it is still giving you trouble you can buy a softer degree sponge next time.

You should bring your old Primorac to the store with no rubbers. Bounce the ball on your blade and compare the bounce and vibration feeling with the Stiga blades. Just pick the one you like the most. I think modern 5 ply will be faster than your old Primorac.
