  1. Do you know Noshad Alamiyan ? (from Iran)

Now, I've heard of him. XD He beat Wu Chih-Chi of Chinese Taipei at the Asian Games, grats I guess. Couldn't tell he was 18 from those pictures though. Here's the article: http://ittf.com/_front_page/ittf_full_story1.asp?ID=22551&Competition_ID=2005&
  2. How much do you guys train? :P

I wish I had time to train that much. Recently, I have had to settle for training maybe 2 hours twice a week. It's awful, I want to play more. =__=
  3. How do you go about practice?

My local club is of decent size, maybe around 30-50 (I don't actually know for sure) regulars. I also train with my university team/club. I used to try just practicing with my friends wherever possible, but I've come to realize that having a proper facility to train in is helpful. Most of the...
  4. Olympics 2012

Tough to pick right now since we don't even know which chinese guys Liu Guoliang is sending. I've heard Liu Guoliang has said the winner of WTTC 2011 (assuming he's chinese) is guaranteed a spot in London. I'll probably cheat a little and revisit this thread when it's closer to the date. :p
  5. The Polish Open 2010

Was it just me, or did Ryu Seung Min's play look really awkward? Like sometimes, we saw glimpses of his former form... but slower, and then he would just back off and... practically not play. Oh well... grats to Vladi, too bad for Ovtcharov. Playing Baum made Ovtcharov look really good, I guess...
  6. The 2010 Asian Games Warm-up...

Chen I-Ching of Taiwan def Guo Yue in the Women's team event. Of course, China still won the group. And Japan beat Taiwan to come in second in the group.
  7. Forever Alone

that..... is awfully depressing. and kind of gross looking. > .>
  8. Favorite games

Hmm. I really like the Tales of ________ series by Namco. Too bad most of those don't make it to the US anymore.
  9. What is the best alternative for Tenergy 05?

You could try Palio Thor. I hear it's like a mildly speed glued H3 National. Spinny, a little spring, but not as much as T05. Less than half the price though.
  10. if you are winning 10-0....

Yes, that blew my mind. I always considered those shots unreturnable. XD
  11. which player has the best backhand?

Kreanga stretches his arm out regardless. He has a weird powerful backhand... an amazing one at that. I had to vote for him because his backhand is just amazingly powerful. If you watch old videos of him playing (not recent) and he just unleashes a powerful counterloop backhand in the middle of...
  12. Most consistent player

I think if you're gonna pick Ma Long, you should pick Wang Hao too. Both have consistent powerful topspin strokes. Just imo.
  13. Post a Picture of Yourself Playing

Haha, those would be the UTD kids. Then again, this video is courtesy of them too. :D
  14. The Polish Open 2010

I second that vote, but I want to see more footwork and forehands than when he played Boll at the Austrian Open. :P I almost wanted to vote for Ovtcharov... but.... can't help but hope for RSM to be in form.
  15. Most consistent player

Hmm. consistency as in they get the ball back on the table all the time? I'm going to go with Mizutani Jun, and maybe Timo Boll. Both of them can be aggressive, but they both play "defense" really well. Boll's topsin puts everything back on the table, even when the opponent is attacking, and...
  16. Post a Picture of Yourself Playing

How about a video of me playing in a doubles match? The NCTTA (National Collegiate Table Tennis Association) Texas Regionals took place recently, and here is a video of the deciding doubles match between the University of Texas Austin (B Team) and the University of Texas Dallas (B Team): I...
  17. Free Viscaria Blade - Prize Draw!!!

I want this Viscaria blade because...... well, let's see, where to start? I've been holding out on posting my answer because I wanted to establish myself a little in the forum first. :P I would say I want this Viscaria blade because I just recently acquired one and I love it. I lent it to my...
  18. Playing Shirts

It doesn't look like they have the black and purple version Zhang Jike and Wang Hao wore at the World Cup. I like that shirt, but $69.99? Meh.
  19. if you are winning 10-0....

Samsonov misses a serve for Kim Taek Soo in this match at 10-0 up... and the best part? Kim CHOOOS afterwards. They then proceed to play an exhibition point in the middle of the match. I feel kind of bad for Vladi after winning 11-1 and playing an exhibition point, then losing the match.
