As far as I know he is sponsored by Double Fish and they do have a purple sponge rubber. I'll see if I can find out any more info. It appears he did have that rubber in pics of him playing at Mulhausen in the German league, so will see what I can find out.

I think it might be even bigger this year then, maybe it was 2 for Oceania last year. Pan Am Cup has also expanded to this format instead of 2 entries per country it’s now open to qualification with seeding into main draw as well. As such USATT did not fund players for it this year.

Right but my main point is that it means they are expanding the World Cup format to increase the total number of participants. Previously only one player qualified up until and including last year. Now there are 4 qualifiers per gender from Oceania, this means the classic top 16 main draw plus...

Is the world cup format changing? In the past only the cup winner has qualified, now it is 4 players.

I also did this before with my teammates, but nobody could move on to another drill until everyone made 30 forehands 1-1 movement. So if you were not getting there then you also had some extra pressure 😂

Table Tennis is 160 revolutions per second at the higher higher levels. So just shy of 10,000 rpm. Def more spin in table tennis, smaller ball, more racket friction.

True but not much incentive for them to ever go back there so not a good business model 😂
