  1. Introduce yourself to the forum! :)

I'll be delighted to share some of them from time to time....
  2. if you are winning 10-0....

We call it 'professional courtesy' to give a point to our opponents. Most of the times, we don't have to wait until the last point of the game. You can make it 'easier' for your opponents to earn a point at 8 or 9 before finishing them off. We should never 'give' an outright point to your...
  3. An assault in table tennis!!!

Ban??? Call the cops and charge him for assault. Let see if he can do the same (hitting a spectator with a bat) while he's in prison doing his time. For all you know, he'll be at the receiving end of numerous blades from other inmates....
  4. Is table tennis the hardest sport in the world?

I agree with char987, it was voted by all sporting bodies, badminton is the fastest sport. We have to take into account the shuttles velocity plus the area each player have to cover in order to retrieve the shuttles. You need stamina and speed. In fact, two of my mates past away while playing...
  5. Is it illegal to stamp your foot while serving?

It does get annoying with the echo resonating in the hall. Plus, it puts off other people playing there as well. I guess, we have to be considerate to others too
  6. Introduce yourself to the forum! :)

Hello everyone, I'm Azlan from Malaysia. Been playing table tennis for over 20yrs now..back when the balls were smaller and the score was 21, and each player gets 5 serves (plus playing with Super Sriver). That was the day when you have to get your techniques dead on coz the balls spun in higher...

Send them to recycling centres and they will make condoms out of them...hahaha imagine one named 'Genius'
  8. Is it illegal to stamp your foot while serving?

Absolutely legal mate...and not only during serves. You may stamp your feet during smashes, chops, spins..basically every single shot that you make, as long as you don't mind disintegrating your knees by the time you are 40yrs old.:)
  9. Anti Loop, Long Pimples, Short Pimples

    Well said Dustin....
  10. Tactics for Lefties

With lefties, more often then not, their opponents tend to be right handed players. That allows them to get accustomed to swerving shots coming in wide to their BH, which in time they develop their footwork to take these shots as FH. In other words, lefties get more practice and experience...
  11. Anti Loop, Long Pimples, Short Pimples

Don't worry about it mate, the more you play with them, the better you'll get. Don't avoid these players, instead, seek them out. You'll get short balls quarter of the table sometimes, which in time will help you develop better footwork. At the present time, you may have to think what type of...
  12. Hello everyone

Wassup Kathyv, Welcome, hope you'll enjoy the company...
  13. Tactics for Lefties

Usually, lefties have better footwork. They're able to take their BH shots as FH. A strategy that always work for me is I played a wide attacking shots to their FH and lay it off wide to their BH on the next shots. More often than not, you'll get a weaker reply for you to attack more...
  14. Anti Loop, Long Pimples, Short Pimples

Hi buddy, if you think that you play badly against opponents using pimples, then I think you should play against these sort of players more often. The balls coming back of pimples are opposite of what you normally get from pips-in rubbers. For example, if you top spin the ball, it'll come back...
  15. What is your favourite forehand rubber?

Stiga boosts tp (FH), Xiom Vega Pro (BH), Stiga Optimum Carbo (BLADE)
  16. Hard vs soft rubbers

Don't worry so much about it. I've been using hard rubbers for quite a while now..and no doubt they create a lot of speed. You must adjust your timing with the transition from soft to hard rubbers. The ball does not have a hang time with hard rubbers, and so to create spin you must have a...
  17. What table tennis rubbers & blade do you use?

Blade : Stiga Optimum Plus F/hand: Stiga Boost TP B/hand: Xiom Vega Pro
