  1. Dima... Tenergy Backhand rubber men's world Cup

Nice repost Airoc. One would ask why then Donic cannot make the blade which completely suits Dima's needs (meaning including handle and whatever sealing/taping he needs) and don't market it as clearly DIMA World Ranking #1 master killer blade version 1/2/3/x. It would not only kill all these...
  2. Serving tactics following let serve

Oh yes, that's also variant if you have that in repertoire: serve from the same position with very similar hands movements but in the final touch use different rotation (like heavy underspin if the let serve was light/no rotation or vice versa).
  3. Serving tactics following let serve

The same for me as Suga and Der: if I feel that serve in the sequence is powerful even the opponent have seen it then I serve the same. If it was some "surprise" variant then I change.
  4. Blades and rubbers

It's great shop and indeed all is authentic. Just good to say that they exclusively import just some brands for CZ so there are other CZ on-line shops which are having better prices on other brands like Tibhar, Yasaka etc.;) Also note that if you are in EU the regulation says that shop should...
  5. Media coverage of Table Tennis

Czech public TV has sports only channel and that broadcasted Czech major league (Extraliga) from time to time since 2007, at some years it was one match per week live or replay, but it looks like no broadcasts since 2016/2017 season (probably Czech TT federation agreed with Laola1.tv and they...
  6. Timo Boll Insane Dive! In or Out?

(posts #2 and #8 of this thread should explain what Xylit is talking about and should close the argument as "ball for LGY" once forever;)
  7. Timo Boll Insane Dive! In or Out?

I 100% agree with all you wrote and I would like to blame DONIC for their unusual table construction. We could have ball of the year!;)
  8. Timo Boll Insane Dive! In or Out?

Btw. if there was second contact of the net and if that is allowed is irrelevant. There was contact of the table construction afterwards (check the video in slow-mo or check the earlier analysis in this thread) hence point was over before Timo hit the ball. Anyway it was incredible effort and...
  9. Timo Boll Insane Dive! In or Out?

Can we know who does it mean "common consensus" in this case? I feel that common consensus on this forum is opposite:)
  10. It's Official | Dimitrij Ovtcharov is the New World Number 1!

My understanding is that ITTF hoped to have ELO based system for world ranking and separate "ATP like" system for World Tour. Unfortunately (or luckily) ITTF World tour has far to dominance of ATP tour in tennis (there are basically almost no respected competitions on international level in...
  11. China Super League 2017

Marvelous TT magazine archive!:) So many memories on the late 80s/early 90s (mainly Bfly) fashion! Nice wikipage as well, unfortunately I'm not fluent outside latin letters and I cannot see any English equivalent of this table (or am I too tired?). Would be great to find the way to legacy...
  12. China Super League 2017

This is great extract, I was looking for similar data few weeks back! What is your source? Are you saying that ITTF world ranking started on October 1st 1991? I'm pretty sure there used to be at least annual table tennis world rankings since WW2, maybe even before.
  13. Ittf stupiiiiiiiiiid ranking

Unfortunately that's not the primary objective and I can understand that. There are only few countries which are willing and able to organize such event (see Swedish Open with almost empty hall, so few spectators that average German Bundesliga match has much better atmosphere then final in...
  14. Ittf stupiiiiiiiiiid ranking

There is no restriction, any national team (or even individual - if national team approves) can go to ITTF tour and ragister to the tournament. So it's just about the money. And yes, I do agree that when it comes to money not all national teams or individuals are equal. But that's life, you can...
  15. Troublemaking at the 2017 US Open

It might be the same in top 5 leagues in CZ as well, that was never my level;) The point is that there are no official "all leagues play in one day" system here so you can easily play in the same round (= week) for several teams (in different leagues) and still not play the same day.
  16. Troublemaking at the 2017 US Open

There might be the difference: higher leagues have weekend matches and also delegated referees but lower leagues not and "local" (district/regional = up to 30km of travel) leagues are played on week days (evenings) regularly. In addition both teams can agree on shifting the match up to 2 weeks...
  17. Troublemaking at the 2017 US Open

Let me tell you the trick my team did this year: 1) I wasn't playing for 15 years so I was unrated player. It was pretty much evident that I'm slightly better then the whole club so it would be "right" to put me on the top of the list (= the best player in Team A allowed to play only in that...
  18. Troublemaking at the 2017 US Open

Yes, basically it's for these who like to track their progress (or are obsessed about individual stats) in larger scale then their XYZ league with Joes from the other village;)
  19. Troublemaking at the 2017 US Open

Once you are listed in "base" of certain team in your club you cannot be added to the list of lower leagues, that's logical. However if you get good "unrated" player or simply several new good guys to the team you can end up with having some lower league teams "boosted" with one or more better...
  20. Nittaku SD ball

Isn't weight as well as diameter part of hard requirement from ITTF (and bounce height as well btw.)? I would understand that material differences make bounce and "feel" noticeable different but wight differences (if any) must be so small that you should never feel them in hand.
