  5. Noting prepares for attack after serve

I remember seeing that, wasn't it awesome! The game has a strong orientation around service these days, a strong service with a high probability of predictable return seems to be the way of the game. We had a Korean player come to New Zealand and he basically dictated all of his opponents...
  6. Which Table Tennis Player Inspires your Style of play?

Jiang Jialang was an amazing player too! :)
  7. Best TT tables

    Tibhar Smash, love em
  8. Schlager

He is also my favourite player, although his standard is dwindling his form lives on in video. I just love his clever aggression, his backhand is insane! Sometimes his touch play reminds me of Waldner, though on rarer occasions :P
  9. TT Ball change after 2012 Olympics!

That's not a bad idea actually the 38mm ball in plastic could be the right balance. I think they will need to do a lot of testing with international players before the ball is released. I think we can sleep relatively easy knowing that we won't be given anything substandard with huge impacts on...
  10. Handshaking

I think the weak slap no look handshake is quite disrespectful, usually when the player loses, you find this with a lot of young and lesser experienced players who haven't developed a more humble nature from experience. I always give a proper handshake when I can i.e when the other player isn't...
  11. Wich handle you like the most?

hah with the above comment I hate to continue on. DO NOT TAKE THIS OUT OF CONTEXT :P I've tended to flip between straight and flared handles over the past few years I think each blade has a unique feel to it and sometimes I prefer one over the other. Whatever feels right at the time, that's what...
  12. Shakehand vs Penhold 2011

yus go the shakehanders, slightly disappointing performance from Boll! however overall expected result I think
  13. Kreanga

Kreanga is great, he shows that a unique style can still achieve success. Not everybody has to have the same technique! Yes he has ridiculously huge shots, yes some of them look lucky, but hell I love to watch him when hes on form! :)
  14. Shakehand vs Penhold 2011

Epic I'm all for the shakehanders! :)
  15. whats you re view on chinese dominance in table tennis?

Hey Charlie I'm from NZ was recently (last week) in the NZ mens tt team at the AUS open, best win vs Binbin Zhu WR 711 I won 3-0 last year. I think Chinese dominance in table tennis is a good thing for the sport, for a start it now has an enormous following in China, it's the national sport of...
  16. What are some of the worst anger outbreaks you've seen?

well I've seen a guy lose a match and snap his bat, lose the next match and snap his spare bat and then lose a match the next day and snap his team mate's bat which he was borrowing :) angry much? I think so.
  17. Left or Right handed - Which is better?

I don't think that kind of technical difference is specific to which hand you play with there's not a general rule that says left handers have longer backswings everyone has different style regardless
  18. Left or Right handed - Which is better?

The man for stats himself. Thanks for those Matt :D I guess it's now opinion vs. statistical data. What's the saying? The house always wins ;) haha
  19. Left or Right handed - Which is better?

lol how does a right hander have any faster arm movement than a left hander? >.< haha
  20. Left or Right handed - Which is better?

Being left handed I vote left handed! Angles work like magic ;)
