Could b due to the type of rubber, my teammate had it a couple of times with some andro/tibhar rubber I thought, then with another brand he had no troubles. Not sure, but that might be it.

I think the major 'problem' with Europese players is that they start a school career in first instance. Table tennis is always Plan B. If you can choose between a study to become a surgeon or full-time table tennis, the first option just gives you the best chance to earn a living by miles...

The TBS frame I currently have is my first carbon frame, so I can't really compare. I think I might try Stiga's in the future, because i also was quite content about my Stiga frame before, which was not carbon.

I'm not sure, I'm fan of Arsenal so it shouldn't be ManU :P I feel Van der Sar deserves it though. Also Barca has a couple of insanely annoying players like Dani Alves and Busquets. Those I hate. So I'm neutral, slightly to the side of ManU because of Van de Sar. xD

I think u are right, among the European youth the French players are the most and the strongest. I really hope the Schlager Academy can produce some people that take on the world top. If the current European top players train there as well, they can help to raise the level of the youth faster...
