  1. What blade to choose for my kids and me help :)

I have played with Palio CJ8000, Hinomi M, Xiom Vega Europe and Vega Pro. Vega Pro is fast. Palio CJ8000 is just a decent cheap rubber, not too fast not too spinny but good all around. Hinomi is very soft rubber. It almost has a translucent color to it. I agree that you should take the Yasaka...
  2. Pro talks About Why He doesnt discuss his equipment

I agree with him. Timo Boll had a video where he weighed out all the Butterfly rubbers he got and chose the exact weight. Us mere mortals do not have money for that. I think it is that Lin Yun-Ju and other players got to use Tenergy 05 hard before that was available to the general public. From...
  3. Sanwei target national new version

When I order my STN sheets from Megaspin, they all in come in the weird shape (never a square). I have one sheet of STN bubbling up near the bottom, where the printing is so it does not affect playing. STN looks pretty beat up after a few sessions. However, it still plays very well and is...
  4. Sanwei target national new version

I would not say that 2nd gen STN is a delish-boosted H3 BS. I have three STN's v.s. four H3 BS 39 degree on seven blades right now. Admittedly I boosted both H3 BS and STN, and I feel H3 BS is slightly faster and slightly bouncier than STN. However you may feel differently. Everyone plays and...
  5. Yasaka Rakza 7 soft vs Nittaku Fastarc C-1

I have a sheet of FX-D on one blade but I cannot find that blade right now. I just remember that FX-D is pretty soft (I was kind of surprised by that because Rakza 7 soft is very soft already), more catapult than other ESN rubber and the topsheet is not that tacky or grippy. I missed loop a...
  6. Yasaka Rakza 7 soft vs Nittaku Fastarc C-1

I have used all of them on my backhand. My Rozena sheet is getting pretty old. When it was fresh, I believe it was slightly more catapulty than the rest. Honestly, all the ESN I mentioned they all feel about the same (i.e. the top sheet plus the sponge, the hardness is all about the same)...
  7. Yasaka Rakza 7 soft vs Nittaku Fastarc C-1

C-1 feels pretty similar to Rakza 7 soft. You can also try Xiom Vega Japan and Xiom Vega Asia to get similar results. Same as Donic M2. Rozena is also similar but might be slightly more catapulty than Rakza 7 soft.
  8. Would Nittaku Fastarc G1 work as a FH rubber on the Ovtcharov Innerforce ALC

yes G-1 is a great rubber. I don't think G-1 will be as catapulty as D05. However, G-1 is very durable. It is very linear. Where you want it to go, the ball will go there. I have played with a couple players who use G-1 on their forehand side and their loops are very spinny. I used to use G-1...
  9. Sanwei target national new version

I am back to using STN on some of my blades. I mentioned in other threads, I really like STN. I don't know what is fuss about it. I feel that STN is not as dynamic (just slightly) as Hurricane 3 neo provincial blue sponge 39 degree but close enough. The tackiness on STN is great! The rubber...
  10. chinese rubbers and physical fitness

I like passive blocking on Chinese rubber just fine. The block is a bit slower but I feel a certain amount of control due to the lack of catapult effect. Flat hitting is terrible on Chinese rubber because it is way too sensitive to the incoming spin. I have learned to loop kill high balls...
  11. chinese rubbers and physical fitness

I don't find Hurricane challenging to use. I find Tenergy challenging to use! I cannot generate enough spin with Tenergy and the ball bounces everywhere. But I was used to playing with Friendship 729 growing up. I am not a big fan of cross training. I think cross training works if you are a...
  12. Which one is faster? Rakza Z or Tibhar K3

K3. Rakza Z is really slow...and it is coming from someone who is used to playing with hurricane on the forehand side. Rakza Z is really slow.
  13. I bought a Viscaria as a begginer. Here's what it did to me and my thoughts on the subject.

Don't know. Ma Lin Carbon was a slow carbon so I ended up picking an all wood blade for its feeling. And Tibhar Stratus Powerwood had good reviews on it. I played with that blade for 3-4 years. I like it!
  14. Are rubbers in China cheaper? Will importing them be worth it?

If you want to buy them and use them, sounds fine with me. If you want to buy them and resell them, then it is not worth the trouble. The prices you see are not much different than TT11 with 30% bulk discount and I will always buy from TT11 in a heart beat because of their speed of delivery...
  15. I bought a Viscaria as a begginer. Here's what it did to me and my thoughts on the subject.

Glad you bought a new Viscaria. I was away from the game for 10 years before I came back. When I came back, I was using Yasaka Ma Lin carbon. My coach took a look at it and says it is too slow for the 40+mm plastic ball and set me up with a brand new Viscaria with Tenergy 05 fx on the forehand...
  16. Cho Daesong Blade?

So Tomokazu Harimoto is playing with Butterfly Harimoto Innerforce ZLC with ALC handle? He is not playing with super ZLC or ALC? That is so confusing. It was bad enough with Fan Zhendong playing with Viscaria with Stiga handle, or Dima playing with Viscaria with Donic handle. I thought those...
  17. Best Alternatives to Dignics 09c

Best alternative to D09c is D09c. I don't think anyone has been able to duplicate D09c with a cheaper price.
  18. FH Ruber?

I used Rakza 7 soft and C-1 on my backhand, interchangeably. They are pretty similar. Everyone plays differently. I find Rakza 7 soft to be very controllable. Is it a little bit catapulty? Yes but that's why it is soft. If there is no catapult effect, then the ball will be just dead upon...
  19. Koto Surface Inner ALC from Huieson?

It is only $27. you might as well try it. I have tried some clones (Stuor and Lemuria). I like some of those blades and I don't like some of those blades. But at least I am not shelling out $100-$300 per blade. No feeling was hurt. No financial catastrophe took place!
