  1. Dawei rubbers

I have tried a Dawei Sprungfeder G3 (A2 sponge , now not anymore allowed by ITTF just because Dawei didn't want to pay to be on the ITTF list of approved rubbers). I have a 1,8 mm black rubber, it is a very capable and fast rubber (more speed and spin than a Sriver L), but has got a HARD sponge...
  2. Cho contest - who wins?

completely ridiculous screaming, yet another silly evolution in the sport who wants to watch a match with players shouting like that ? i dont BTW : the original cho is from Jean-Michel Saive !
  3. Badminton/Squash etc shoes vs TT shoes

Those five finger shoes look really ridiculous !! Would have been nice in the movie "Balls of fury". The opponents are just trying not to laugh, you must look like a complete dork in those ! LOL Please do not make our sport more ridiculous by wearing those shoes  Phil Sent from my...
  4. Badminton/Squash etc shoes vs TT shoes

Yes , that's almost identical to what i play, good quality also, light , and enough dampening (i have a bad back and knees), i think you cant go wrong with these. BTW Jean-Michel Saive plays shoes like this (i have seen it myself in Belgium during a match in the Super Division).
  5. Badminton/Squash etc shoes vs TT shoes

I play with Addidas indoor shoes, they are almost identical to the Addidas TTennium (or something like that) shoes, they are comfy, durable and stable, and grippy, with non-marking soles ! They have almost the same construction as the table tennis shoes. I had previously also the asics indoor...
  6. This info will save you a lot of money !

We are way off topic here ! Where are the results of the WD40 or paraffin refreshing of worn rubbers ?
  7. Which Table Tennis Player Inspires your Style of play?

Waldner for his genius and technique and ball feel, Saive for his fighting spirit.
  8. Help me find a new blade that goes well with H3

Stiga Tube Allround blade is awesome, very good control, enough speed, just some flex to get a better dwell time. I find this blade better than my Waldner Senso Carbon i played with for 3 years. I now play this blade with a Friendship 729-2 sensor rubber (only 1,8 mm) which is a hard sponge...
  9. Chinese alternative for ESN Tensor ?

So nobody has a suggestion on a good Chinese alternative to ESN Tensors ? I mean a rubber that plays similarly (without using booster). In the first post i mention some possible candidates.
  10. Rubber comparation to Tenergy 05

Hi Der Echte, do you mean Aurus (standard) or Aurus Soft or Aurus Sound ? This Aurus standard is given as being 47 hardness, isn't it playing a bit like a chinese rubber (i mean a really hard rubber) ?
  11. Forum Game - Who is in the picture?

    third one is Samsonov ??
  12. Chinese alternative for ESN Tensor ?

Have you tried the trick with WD40 to get most of the spin back in your TG2 rubber ? Just spread a small amount (1 spray of 0,5 second) of WD40 on your top sheet and rub it in with your finger gently. Maybe a second time and then after an hour waiting your spin should be back in the rubber ! Try...
  13. Adidas Rubbers

Adidas does not make any table tennis rubbers , they buy them at the ESN factory for maybe 5€ a piece and with some marketing sell for 40 to 50€ a piece. Hopefully not a lot of players will buy these marketing rubbers. There is nothing to be happy about for us players , nothing new either (just...
  14. Calibra LT or Calibra LT +

Calibra LT Sound (2 mm) is very "glue" like, but very very fast and i find it extremely difficult to play a short push (even a long push is difficult to keep low). Only suited for players that train a lot , but when u can play with it , it shure is a lot of fun. Personally i play a more allround...
  15. Chinese alternative for ESN Tensor ?

Everybody who plays with Chinese rubbers say these last longer than the tensors, i really have not seen or read (on other forums) anybody claiming the opposite (i think Anders has very little experience with Chinese rubbers, i remember my first 729 FX lasting really very long !)
  16. Chinese alternative for ESN Tensor ?

I understand your point, but dont forget that if there seems to be a good alternative for these Tensors , everybody on this forum can save some cash. I am just against the principle of spending 40€ on a piece of rubber that costs 0,5 to 2€ to make ! Also i know a lot of young players that now...
  17. Chinese alternative for ESN Tensor ?

Hi guys, Now my FH rubber is broken (pimples broken off after 2,5 years of use) I am looking for a good cheap (probably Chinese) alternative for a Tensor ! I was playing with an Andro Revo Fire 1,7 mm and played with a Tibhar Nimbus 2 mm also from time to time (i got this from a friend, and...
  18. How do you Relax?

Also important tip (i got this from a person who works with the young top athletes in Belgium) : eat a good meal (high in carbs, like pasta) about 3 hours before the match, this will give you the energy you need on the right moment. Add fruit like bananas and apples during the...
  19. This info will save you a lot of money !

First of all, the amount of posts is no measure at all for the quality of the posts (posts like : Draw your favorite player... are not really giving any plus to table tennis players, what about : What's your favorite color ?...). It would be a lot better to count the amount of words a person...
  20. This info will save you a lot of money !
