  1. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Looking like we will get our USA Canada final but with a different Canadian than expected. Eugene has managed to turn back the clock a bit this tournament.
  2. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

I am not sure I would call it an implosion, it was just Jha now being in rhythm and playing his level while Jouti also played his level.
  3. 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2025, Shenzhen, 2/19-23

Yeah, the fanboys and fangirls have been extra annoying AF in recent years and I know pro players who find them just as annoying as the fans do. But I don't really see how it's going to hurt the sport - insane toxic fans exist in all other major sports and sport leagues and apart from creating...

That is all fine. It seems like you are reading my comments as a suggestion to play stronger and more active but I never said that. I simply explained why a hard and tacky rubber like Hurricane doesn't suit the style you have chosen for yourself.

It depends on what your definition of attack is. I watched a few matches and you rarely open on the forehand and when you do it is very slow and safe. The key is the arm speed. Your arm speed is very slow even on attack. And most of your FH shot selection is defensive, either pushing back long...
  6. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Mo being coached by recently-retired Lin Ye of Singapore
  7. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Good timeout by Park at 2-0 4-2 but Cifuentes weathers the storm

I edited my post but yeah, even 09c and hybrids are not best suited for this type of gameplay.
  9. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

On the women's side I am interested to see if Mo's level in the MLTT recently will translate to this event. If so, I expect her and Bruna to meet in the finals, though Lily always seems to reach a good level despite minimal practice.
  10. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Definitely a factor at play like it was for Kanak against Iizuka - coming in first match and getting punched after only having practice and not tournament matches for 3-5 days prior is like jumping in a cold pool lol.
  11. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Yeah. Ishiy is stable but relatively soft, not as much quality pressure in the rally as he thought maybe.
  12. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

    N. Naresh 3-1 to 4-2 Ishiy. Ishiy looked like he was going to bring it to another 7 gamer for a bit but Naresh had other plans.

I don't think changing equipment will really make much difference either way but from what I saw in the videos, you rarely loop hard and are more of a "reach and touch" type rather than making active and aggressive strokes with arm speed. So no, I don't think H3, or even 09c/hybrids really...
  14. 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2025, Shenzhen, 2/19-23

Yeah he definitely is a threat to beat top players and he got ML a few times as well, but to me he seems to fall short in the biggest moments while getting his big wins in the slightly less important moments but that isn't easy for anyone. He has a serious LJK problem too.
  15. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Jha post-game interview after 4-3 IIzuka: Hopefully he settles in and feels on today - he'll need it, as mentioned above, he needs to take this tournament to propel his WR up.
  16. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

I know that Iizuka is a good player especially when he's firing on all cylinders like he was in games 1-4 yesterday, and not as much in games 5-7. In fact I think he's actually better than Walker despite the 2-3 loss here. But how do we contextualize any of this when Iizuka's BL winrate is 0%...
  17. 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2025, Shenzhen, 2/19-23

I'm not sure how much I would include LYJ in that list with Miwa and Tomo of getting it done when the chips are down. In fact it seems like he's always so close to breaking through and falling just short, Olympics bronze medal match with Dima as the most notable example. Open to discussion though.
  18. 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2025, Shenzhen, 2/19-23

Chinese girls find WCQ cute. They don't find Lin Shidong cute.
