  1. 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2025, Shenzhen, 2/19-23

Don't dare say clones here... lol Why are you pluralizing hater(s)? ;)
  2. 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2025, Shenzhen, 2/19-23

Even though he is 17 he seems professional enough to me that I wouldn't think that fully explains some of the complete implosions he seems to have.
  3. 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2025, Shenzhen, 2/19-23

Utter domination in their first time matching up as adults. Will be interesting to see how SXY does if and when they face off again
  4. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Zeng misses a smash to take the lead 2-2 10-8 and it's all downhill from there for her 4-2 Amy
  5. 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2025, Shenzhen, 2/19-23

Question for someone who watches Sora more than I do - why does he seem to just completely fall apart in so many matches? 11-3 11-1 in games 2 and 3 to LYJ
  6. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

You were responding to my comment about Iizuka needing to overcome Kanak's vaunted service game (yes, that's sarcasm) and being better in the rally. No need to move the goalposts now to a separate hunch that didn't manifest, unless you seriously think that those first 4 games were representative...
  7. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Game 5, but, @pongfugrasshopper, I was saying? Credit to Iizuka for making it a close match. Typical sloppy first match for Kanak but also typical comeback when it matters.
  8. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Not just mental strength, he has come back down to earth the last few games and will need to adjust accordingly. Definitely credit to his insane play particularly in the first 4 games.
  9. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

I was laughing at the implication that Kanak's service game is what Iizuka's chances would hinge on, or that he's better in the rally. He's winning thus far by dominating the serve receive game and blasting at 100% and hitting all of them.
  10. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

2-1 lead for Iizuka. Iizuka having no trouble with Kanak's serve as expected. Typical slow start from Kanak as it's his first match of the tournament, but he should probably start taking over in Game 4.
  11. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Ivy has no chance against Bruna next round but that is ok - it will be up to Zhang Mo to try to take down Bruna on the way to the championships, I have those two as the WS favorites.
  12. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Of course, he also probably isn't going to go back home and start changing his game or training specifically to beat Nandan Naresh. I think our points run parallel to each other though.
  13. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

    N. Naresh vs Britton.... will be ugly
  14. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Not shocked. Roger has been playing amazing recently.
  15. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

    Lol. No.
  16. Feedback on my League games

When the level gap is so large, yes I am saying that for many cases. Unless the new approach is really such a strong weakness for the opponent that it actually pushes them to have to try to win, which is unlikely in the case of a 300 point level gap, then you can't really read too much into...
  17. Feedback on my League games

How do you use it as a barometer though when you come with your new tactics and the much better opponent makes his own adaptations and wins just as easily but in a different manner?
  18. Feedback on my League games

I don't agree it's a bad mental approach to table tennis. Unless you are a professional player you have limited time and energy you can spend. And if your goal is to improve, your mental energy as a 1400 TTR player could probably be better spent on a lot of other things that would help your game...
  19. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Laurent went 1-1 in prelims. Unless Eugene turns back the clock, he isn't getting past all of Madrid/Mino/and either of Cifuentes/Ishiy I don't think Kanak is going to have any problem with IIzuka.
  20. ITTF-Pan American Cup-2025

Canadians have to be thankful for their draws. Ly for reasons already explained, Laurent for drawing one of the only two RO32 opponents he has a chance against, and Eugene getting Sean into Madrid and then a chance to avenge the controversial Pan Am Games match against Mino.
