I'm not a short pips player but I think Sanwei Fextra 7-ply is a nice one to try at a reasonable price. Edited to add: I have 802-40 Mystery III on it and is easy to play with (but that SP is supposed to be very similar to inverted. I know Spinfire is more frustrating to play against).

yes, good ideas. That looks fine to keep using. I have a viscaria that was beat up and I sanded some edges (and blade face to be more like zjk). I used shoe glue on the edges to secure the damaged spots since it is like a flexible super glue and seems to have worked well.

I have a NUZN 55 and J1 on my backup HSALC that I think I'll move to the HAL soon. The 09c's I have on there are long dead at this point. I think the NUZN will be good with bounce/speed/throw. I think the J1 may have a little too low of throw to combine with this blade but we will see. I might...
