Well if you get pushed back, you can always chop, but being aggressive with short pips is fun but difficult.

Either a) Don't let them back you away from the table, b) practice with your short pips against more aggressive players, or c) Twiddle to use inverted side so you take away that weakness of the short pips

If you want to try Butterfly, just go with Tenergy 05, or if you like harder rubbers, Tenergy 05 Hard. Hurricane will feel slower coming from a hybrid rubber, but you should get more spin, just know some Hurricanes can have a lot of tackiness and some can have little.

FDZ SALC will probably be your best bet then. FZD SALC is much harder and is faster than FZD ALC and could give you the same issue as your current blade.
