Europe is the same. They don't produce anything that can compete with the products from AliExpress. They just want to charge extra simply because you are physically in the EU. That's like the mob would act.

it's 3 per product. read the article I shared above. but it's just insane that these regulators from EU when they were checking all this thing that they were going to implement they said "well they will buy for 52€ and they will pay taxes of 25€...... this seems totally reasonable and fair to...

  6. Do you have to be fit to be a pro table tennis player?

I think many countries would force you to be super fit just because you are representing them and wearing their shirt. the same way they force players to be showing their fist and shouting all the time. because deep down high level is a show, not really a sport anymore. that's why 99% of the...
  7. Is table tennis THE hardest sport to go professional in?

I think at some point you don't need to train that much anymore. like the movements become automatized so it doesn't really add anything to train more.
  8. Is table tennis THE hardest sport to go professional in?

it's quite easy actually. you just show up to a club, compete, national team.... go pro. it's not even a very expensive sport. other sports are much more niche. like race driver for example. I never knew anyone who was a race driver.

you need to have certain exceptional mental capacities to get a medical degree. not everybody can do it. and even if you do get the degree not all doctors have the same working conditions. a doctor in luxembourg might have an impressive salary. a doctor in congo might work for free or for a...
  13. I wasted 12 years of my life trying to play table tennis

whatever profession you choose you will only get paid if you are really good at it. be it table tennis player, doctor, lawyer, architect.... the idea that being a pro tt player is incredibly hard and being a lawyer is an easy way out for the lazy seems ludicrous to me. it depends on the...

yes I agree that table tennis players in general are educated compared to other sports. at least in the amateur level. in the high level if they dedicate their entire life to the sport it's more or less the same as other sports probably.
  16. I wasted 12 years of my life trying to play table tennis

not really. actually people who are very good at sports are often assumed to not be very intelligent. the people I met in real life generally go by this rule. either they are intelligent or good at sports. not both. "no but ariel hsing was in the usa team and she has 3 university degrees and...

Most people will not become doctors, lawyers or be college graduates. For all those people things like tt medals are achievements of their lives.
  18. I wasted 12 years of my life trying to play table tennis

It is worth it. If the kid finds something that gives him a sense of achievement he should take it I know many adults who's greatest achievements were their ping pong years. Not everybody in life gets to be an accomplished doctor or lawyer.
  19. I wasted 12 years of my life trying to play table tennis

They are different persons. We are all born different with different skills. It makes no sense what you are trying to argue, it's like talking to a 6 year old kid. You think humans are all made identical in a machine.
  20. I wasted 12 years of my life trying to play table tennis

Jan ove waldner has a brother and they played together when they started. There you have your proof that it's more about the individual, not so much the training system.
