  1. Post your latest EJ purchase

Not really an EJ purchase, but equipment to donate to the local village club where kids train. Chose some 5 ply blades and Palio and Yinhe rubbers + I'll give away all my old hurricanes and some other rubbers. I myself though am staying with w968 and H3s on both sides. B2 can't stand a chance...
  2. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

I need orange sponge 2.1, I don't like (and can't really) hit through blue sponge on w968 without 3-4 layers of booster, which I don't want to do. On ZJK ALC BS works with 1-2 layers sure, but I simply don't like the feeling and I am a fan of ML, not ZJK :) OS works with 1-2 layers perfectly...
  3. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

non-tacky h3 straight up just doesn't work on w968...my old tacky h3 provincial orange 37 has such and amazing feeling on the backhand. Waiting for Battle II to arrive to completely replace h3 on my w968. It definitely has less end-power than boosted h3, however w968 is very flexible and I can...
  4. Post your latest EJ purchase

Latest EJ purchase just to check the theory: regular H3 (non neo) commercial 40 degrees. My expectations were that it's still tacky and should work much better than non-tacky H3 NEO, with which I couldn't do the flicks, the ball went out all the time, etc. And it did work, old feeling is back...
  5. Suggestions: Chinese style forehand rubbers for ~$30 (penhold), I can get more expensive ones since I'll be using taobao

I am really disappointed in tackiness of commercial (and actually provincial and national also) H3 orange sponge...even boosted it just doesn't spin the ball as well as BS. Battle II provincial blue sponge is cheaper and does things similarly or even better (it surely is more tacky than current...
  6. DHS N301 - blade that actively tries to kill you

Objectively I play worse, but I prefer feeling of w968 to zjk alc...so I am kinda in between still. I don't play competitively much these days, so experimenting with rubber on w968 is ok for me. H3 on the bh does wonders for me, it's the fh that I can't decide what to play with
  7. DHS N301 - blade that actively tries to kill you

40 2.1, I have tried it unboosted and it's better than h3 BS unboosted for sure. Boosted should be even better
  8. DHS N301 - blade that actively tries to kill you

You should've stayed with King 3 :) That video is 6 years old and you were already killing it Edit: by the way, I am currently trying Battle II prov blue sponge on the w968 and I can surprisingly hit through the blade with this rubber, and can't with H3 blue sponge. H3 orange is not tacky and...
  9. Liang Jingkun signs with LOKI

Can't really tell if it's w968 with Loki handle or real Loki blade, so meh, it doesn't matter much. LJK's mental game is very impressive and matters a lot though.

Does anybody know what hurricane version is this ? never seen 0.5 hardness scale for orange sponged h3

Exactly why I switched back to ZJK ALC from w968. Sure, w968 has greater potential, but I can do proper shots much less frequently than with outer alc blades with the same rubbers (h3 fh, d09c/h3 37 bh, boosted of course). One of the coolest aspects where w968 shines is top spin against top...
  12. DHS 968 Thread

my w968 is completely fine without any seal, although I use glue very similar to DHS #15, which I (and many other players) consider the best for Chinese rubbers

It's this blade quality (the ball trajectory goes long, check out Table Tennis Gan review - he said so as well, and he is much highel level than me...) and I said that I was testing this for the first time. Prov. H3 BS did very well on this blade. edit: will -> well

never heard of such things with blades. Maybe humidity (or constant water based glue application) can affect the play, other than that I don't think anything can change.
  15. DHS fans unite!

Much better with H3 prov. blue sponge. This time I am not that disappointed with the blade, but it's definitely different than ZJK and other outer alc blades, needs tons of adjustments, especially over the table game - it suffers.

it's interesting that BH with H3 is very, very good feeling and easy to perform. Many people say that BH is the weakness of w968 and inner structures in general, but my piece feels good on the BH. I will change the fh rubber and see how it goes

Well, here's my first try with w968. Many mistakes since I usually play with ZJK ALC and this blade needs adjustment, but this fh H3 prov. OS 39 sucks big time...very little spin.
