  1. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

Interesting, did you order two hugo tmxi pro? please make a review and compare it with ajh tmxi pro if you find the time
  2. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

I have made the experience that light blades feel even more headheavy. To this day, my AJH TMXi Pro feels more balanced than my Hugo HAL (84g) if I attach heavy rubbers in my opinion, once you get used to heavy setups, there really is no more point of buying light blades. heavy blades are just...
  3. FULL TRANSLATION: Asking Korean National Team Players about Hurricane 3 Neo

thanks @zeio , I did not know this was already posted. however, it seems like no one provided a translation in the previous thread. so I guess there was still some value in the repost, even though I only translated the first ~3 min 😀 as a hurricane user myself , it was very insightful to hear...
  4. FULL TRANSLATION: Asking Korean National Team Players about Hurricane 3 Neo

Hey community, I know there are alot of players here that use Hurricane 3 Neo, including me. And there are countless threads on how to use chinese rubbers, the different versions and hardness, how to boost them and so on. I dont know if this has been posted before, but I found an interesting...

  7. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

I think so too, though I think the bigger headsize could give the blade some extra power atleast thats how it is with ajh tmxi pro
  8. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

In europe , most shops got them this week or will get them next week. The store I bought my blade from asked Xiom Europe for a heavy piece and the heaviest they could get me was 87g for the Hugo ALX, despite its headsize of 160x152
  9. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

Okay, good to know. I expect ALX to be quite a bit softer than TMX (Xiom 36.5 ALX felt like an allwood blade at times, it had a very soft shot feeling). Regarding the handle, I just assumed a similar shape because the handle design of new Hugo blades and the old AJH blades looks the same to me...
  10. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

I never tried TMX Pro, therefore cant compare with that one. But I have a Hugo HAL and I used to have the 36.5 ALX. I expect the LSS ALX to play similarly to the 36.5 ALX, basically a slightly slower and softer variant of Viscaria without the metallic vibrations. And, I am really curious to...
  11. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

I ordered the Hugo ALX now. I asked them for 88g, they told me they can send me a 87g piece. Will have it by the end of the week probably. The price was good, 133€ for the blade. I think this is very fair considering the price of high-end composite blades nowadays. Will glue H3N BS on FH and...
  12. Boosting European rubbers

I wouldnt boost esn rubbers, messes with the lifespan / durability which is already short compared to chinese rubbers I boosted old sheets of mx-s and d05 with haifu yellow before and the results were not great

  15. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

I played 3 different ajh pro and one w968. I never tried regular tmxi. but I tried several harimoto alc Gan made a review of tmxi pro and compared it directly with his impressions of the regular tmxi. I quoted his impressions as he is one of the most trusted reviewers and a formal provincial...
  16. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

I dont think Hugo TMXi will be like AJH TMXi Pro. AJH TMXi Pro was created to replicate w968, with a thinner core and thicker middle ply. It is also supposed to be heavy (around 90g) Regular AJH TMXi is lighter (around 88g) and has a thicker core, and it is stiffer than pro version. You can...
  17. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

Both Hugo blades and the LSS blade will be available in several table tennis shops in germany starting from next week
  18. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

What do you mean with leaving a gap? so that only the tip of my index finger touches the blade and the rest of the index finger is not really in contact with the blade? Curling the fingers help but its still not a relaxed grip. can you also show the backhand side, how and where on the blade...
  19. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

the problem is, I cant find a grip where my RPB is fully open without putting straing on my index finger
