  1. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

I briefly "analyzed" Truls' points. In the first set, Truls scored 8 points, 8 times on Tomo's forehand!!!... In the second set, 5 of his 11 points were to/via Tomo's forehand. Third set = 5/9, fourth set = 8/12, fifth set = 5/12, sixth set = 2/2, or roughly 33 of his 54 points were scored on...
  2. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

Truth, the third set was therefore crucial.
  3. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

LYJ just can't seem to get it right. Strange for someone with perhaps the best timing on his BH.
  4. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

I don't think they will use it for illegal services very often. With a few exceptions, they prefer to protect each other. Doing so would make them unpopular with the other players, and that is something they want to avoid. That’s not good for social media.
  5. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

I have never written anywhere that their services are always illegal. But if you can steal 3-4 points per set by doing this illegally and you know that the umpires will not react to it anyway, well... Still strange that Hugo or Tomo, for example, never throws his balls into his racket or rarely...
  6. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

Even two errors, namely a slanted throw of more than 25° that was clearly visible, and as was often the case with the brothers, the serve was delivered above the table instead of behind "the baseline". To be clear, not all services are illegal if the player is standing next to the table. There...
  7. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

The match point was yet another illegal serve by Felix. The umpire sat there and watched...🤷‍♂️
  8. Forums and freedom, and being capable of self criticism

The fact that someone split my post into nine separate statements! gives me pause for thought. And yes, that does come across as aggressive, big little man. I agree that politics should not be discussed on a TT forum; there are political forums for that. But if that is the case, then please...
  9. Forums and freedom, and being capable of self criticism

It's unbelievable that someone with thousands of contributions is banned without warning or consultation with other moderators, especially after a member had just been promoted to new moderator and after dozens of contributions from the removed member had suddenly been moved to the background or...
  10. Tony has been banned and won't return

Can a moderator also be banned?...Why?🤷‍♂️
  11. FZD’s lower core strength

Indeed, a fine example of these three gentlemen. It is clear who is blessed with impressive muscles and who is not. It always stuck with me during the 2012 World Championships in Rotterdam, impressive from ZJ. Thank you for the photo!
  12. FZD’s lower core strength

However, his quadriceps don't seem to be that well developed to me. When I compare them to Zhang Jike's at the time, he still falls a little short.
  13. Tt-japan

Um, I know perfectly well how it works. I just wanted to warn people that when they order from an American, Australian, African, or in this case Asian (Japanese) webshop, they should take into account that additional (import) costs will have to be paid. No more, no less than that.
  14. Tt-japan

Mizuno has its own Greek website. I have no idea if they sell all the items here too, I haven't compared them yet. https://www.mzn.gr/en/ALL/ping-pong
  15. Tt-japan

Okay, I will no longer warn people that there may be additional costs associated with their orders in certain shops.
  16. Spin and speed comparison of rubber/ply [video]

I didn't know that Zyre03 was already on the market in 2023.
  17. Tt-japan

Whatever I wrote, it's a very good store, but you have to pay extra costs on top of their prices. I saw that the topic starter is from Poland, so I wanted to warn him about the extra cost. Maybe it doesn't apply in Poland (Zloty), I don't know.
  18. Tt-japan

Good shop but be careful, two years ago I had to pay an additional €12.58 in customs fees within Europe for two rubbers with a total value of €90.28.
  19. National Games of China 2025, 11/9-21, Guangdong/Hong Kong/Macao

I have long believed that top players no longer serve short serves to FH or BH. Many amateurs serve shorter (perhaps with less effect) than established players. Position service > receiver is crucial, but I think too little thought is given to this in the Far East.
  20. National Games of China 2025, 11/9-21, Guangdong/Hong Kong/Macao

It was a worthless final. FZD was the opener, and that was the only good tactical move.
