I own also and use Stiga Infinity VPS with G-1, if you have problems to punch with you backhand isn't rubber related, look for yours skills: body position, timing, etc. Have you tried G-1 with less sponge?

Guys isn't only the rubbers, is also the blade, and cars, food, freezes, dress, etc. Now all not have the quality we enjoyed 20-30 years ago.

G-1 is a very very good long lasting rubber. What thickness are you using? Because there is people arguing differences of quality between super-thick & max, I also used both and noted better quality using super-thick sponge.

For inverted rubbers you can't confuse spin, speed, power & control: Less sponge = Less speed = Less power = Less spin = More control More sponge = More speed = More power = more spin = Less control About serves: Serves no needs power, no need to activate too much the sponge so no problem...

Guys durability depends are others stated: -How hard you hit the ball. -Time to use. Of course using protective film and avoid dust, humidity and high changes of temperature. No other things involved.
