  1. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

I hope Togami can look back at this string of tournament failure to gather experience, he can't just blindly fight with his physical strength and technique. Someone on 5ch says he's like "a very strong high schooler" and I totally agree lol. At this rate, he's at best a 3rd singles player or...
  2. WTT Contender Muscat 2023

Just yesterday Yuna Ojio played 3 consecutive final matches in Doha (1 doubles 2 singles) and managed to win 2 out of 3. In the last match in which she lost, she managed to drag it into the final set and only give in 9-11 due to physical fatigue. I don't see this kind of fight in any of the...
  3. WTT Contender Muscat 2023

I've read it and most comment about Matsushima are neutral or positive, but I agree that JPN players now lose mostly because of their battle will than the gap in technique. Maybe they should hire a drill sergeant from JSDF to grind some spirit in them.
  4. WTT Contender Muscat 2023

Japan XD dynamics is weird tbh, past pairs like Yoshimura - Ishikawa and Mizutani - Ito have the male player being the backbone not only for scoring points but keeping the morale high. Now the roles are switched, Hina's forehand was the scoring machine and her strong will carries Harimoto. Miwa...
  5. WTT Contender Muscat 2023

The mixed doubles final is frustrating but understandable. Matsushima's mentality is too fragile, easily frustrated and zoned out after a missed shot and this also affected Miwa. The last game both of them repeatedly make mistakes in defense.
  6. WTT Contender Muscat 2023

His forehand is not as powerful yet but I'd trade it over Togami's brainless power shot everyday
  7. WTT Contender Muscat 2023

Togami just lost to Matsushima 1-3, now I finally gets why so many ppl dubbed him the next genius after Tomokazu. His shots wasn't as rough as Togami but much more stable and his tactical game was also better.
  8. Harimoto forehand

Something I notice about Harimoto's FH stroke: he gets to the ready position quite slow, thus harder to make a contact with the ball in front of his body, look at this pic below I'm pretty sure that his center of mass is behind his leg and result in him having to have more upward motion, reduce...
  9. FZD - will he be the next Wang Hao?

FZD has just announced his absence in the Star Contender Lanzhou due to injury so I think these two recent lost is justifiable

  11. 19th Asian Games Hangzhou

outstanding performance from Shin and Jeon, now that SK has entered the final I want to see a North-South Korean clash lol
  14. 19th Asian Games Hangzhou

Watching the mixed doubles is like a 3v1, Kihara just keeps making errors after errors. Edit post-match: I wonder what the fate of both Kihara and Nagasaki will be. The 2000 line of Ito - Hayata - Hirano is still strong for at least 2 upcoming Olympics, Miwa's rapid growth means that she can...

  18. 19th Asian Games Hangzhou

Hayata and Hirano is two polar opposite, Hayata has higher stability but lower peak form while Hirano has lower stability but higher peak form.
  19. 19th Asian Games Hangzhou

It's known amongst the Chinese fans that Wang Yidi is a "muscle head"
  20. 19th Asian Games Hangzhou

She deserved it for sure, Hirano's resume is still better but recent performance has shown Hina is more worthy of that title
