  1. Using Tenergy 05 changed my view on tensor rubbers

PPC is a 7+2 blade so it's pretty stiff, it's basically a 7 ply wood with thin carbon. Compared to Dynasty it's definitely much stiffer and more direct. I think inner would be good to test, blades like Pro03, Anders Lind are not too fast and have good feeling
  2. Using Tenergy 05 changed my view on tensor rubbers

T05 is a special rubber for sure, especially when fresh. I'm sure the blade has got something to do with it as well, it's hard for a 5 ply wood to stack up to an outer style carbon blade like Dynasty. Have you tried many other carbon blades to compare against?
  3. My new Setups problem

Is this a Japanese or Euro Korbel? As far as I'm aware the Euro Korbel isn't known for having as good quality or performance as Japanese Korbel
  4. Rxton 5 blue/pink

My R5 Blue has a black sponge, interesting Anyways I agree with your assessment of the R5, it is a surprisingly nice rubber, sticky and good spin with a nicely springy feeling for a firm Chinese rubber
  5. My new Setups problem

Your current Korbel might just play differently than your old one
  6. Does glue affect racket performance ? Strange problem…

Baby oil really only makes the rubber slightly softer, the tension and the increase in elasticity from baby oil is not so comparable to a true booster even like Falco, it might give a little life back to the rubber but not for long. Though if the rubbers are going to be replaced soon anyways, I...
  7. Donic Bluestorm Pro?

Had a hit with it a few times on a clubmates racket Nice rubber, bouncy, good spin and arc. Felt kind of like a Tenergy The Bluestorm Z2 I tried didn't last very long before losing a lot of juice so I assume the BSP would go the same way
  8. Equipment & tips for new chopper

Best blade I ever used for two sided chopping with sponge pips hands down, is the Victas Koji Matsushita. Expensive but worth it. My favorite defensive style blade is actually the Yinhe 980XX though, but my style is more like Li Jian who doesn't chop (much) on forehand. 980XX is pretty cheap...
  9. Does glue affect racket performance ? Strange problem…

I've found different glues do give different feeling. Consistent to your findings, I felt gluing with thinner consistency glues tends to give a more muted and crisper response. Thicker glues like Nittaku Finezip, DHS No.15 give a softer and bouncier feeling especially with increased layers. The...
  10. Returning player (AR+/OFF–) looking for versatile rubbers for Xiom Hugo HAL [no longer: Cybershape Wood]

With soft rubbers like C1, R7S and VE, I feel they are all pretty similar so picking apart the minutiae is like trying to split hairs, but C1 is a bit firmer than VE, and I did feel VE was a little bouncier on soft contact because of that Compared to R7S and VE, C1 is firmer with lower arc. R7S...
  11. Americans, do you still buy equipment from Aliexpress?

I've received 3 orders from Aliexpress in the last month, in terms of the ordering process its almost like nothing has changed, but things have gotten a tad bit more expensive and more items now have a shipping cost
  12. Returning player (AR+/OFF–) looking for versatile rubbers for Xiom Hugo HAL [no longer: Cybershape Wood]

I have also tried C1 but the blades I have used C1 and Vega Euro are different. C1 and G1 share the same topsheet, that is to say while C1 has a soft sponge (firmer than VE by a bit), it also has a much tougher topsheet and I do think it is a bit less bouncy on soft touch than VE, but I also...
  13. Diff between ALC and ZLC. Any comments on innerforce layer ZLC vs JM ZLC

I like the vibration and feeling of ZLC better than ALC but I find I can loop more consistently with the ALC. I think Mizutani is easy to play with because its fast and easy to activate but I always get the feeling with ZLC that sometimes the arc production from the ZLC is inconsistent to my...
  14. Returning player (AR+/OFF–) looking for versatile rubbers for Xiom Hugo HAL [no longer: Cybershape Wood]

If you play topspin I think it's best to use 2.0 I can only put my own personal experience and preferences out there 😉 I could suggest you the rubbers that I prefer, which would be Mantra Pro H forehand and G-1 backhand, but these are a fair bit firmer than the rubbers you are used to which...
  15. Returning player (AR+/OFF–) looking for versatile rubbers for Xiom Hugo HAL [no longer: Cybershape Wood]

I think because you are training regularly and have good feeling already, there won't necessarily be a trap of being too fast or too safe. When you are playing frequently you tend to get used to new stuff relatively quickly, and will also be able to determine if something is to your taste or not...
  16. Flared(FL) or Straight(ST)?

Sure! I've said it before but Pure is essentially just a slightly thinner Clipper. Pure is a typical middle thickness (~6.4mm) 7 ply wood, not as aggressive as Clipper but a bit stiffer and more direct than blades like Swat (~5.8mm)/PG7 (~6.2mm). What I like about Pure is that it is more...
  17. New blade - Stiga Pure

I have had it in st but currently use it in fl. The shape of Stigas master handle style is a little skinny for me but since the blade is thicker than 6mm, it feels larger in the hand than with blades that are 6mm or below, and is an acceptable size for me
  18. Tibhar K2 Pro vs K2 Pro Purple

I thought the K2 Pro had the purple sponge and the normal K2 has the cream colored sponge. I know Jorgic was using K2 sometime in the past but wasn't he most recently using K3 Pro?
  19. New blade - Stiga Pure

I've been using a Pure Cybershape as of late. Very decent off- blade, softer feeling but still solid, not the fastest 7 ply I've ever used but avoids the pitfalls of a lot of 7 ply blades like Clipper where the arc flattens out a lot on harder hits. In fact Pure is basically just a Clipper but...
  20. Does anyone know anything about Nittaku Feminist?

Old blade, think it was discontinued more than a decade ago. I think I remember it being marketed as being light and easy to use
