I can’t compare my HL5x with a FB as I don’t have one, but your description of how the HK5 feels and plays are spot on to my my mind.

I play with an HL5x with 09c (Fh) and 05 and find it to have great feel, high dwell and a range of gears that offers a lovely touch game allied with a very high speed when I engage the carbon.

I ordered DHS glue! To me this looks like booster - my Seamoon says “solubility bond” on it the same as this does

I received this as a free gift from the store on Ali that I ordered my glue from - looks like either some sort of booster or speed glue? any Ideas?

Fair point raised by Creek but I don't think this would rule out people using a product like this as long as the blade was a good one and potentially at a later stage came in different variants modelled on the popular blades. I also think that it might be that the blade would only be used for...

Nobody has mentioned the Nittaku Acoustic yet - very well regarded off all wood blade.

The reality though is that it was insignificant, and despite what “might” have happened, it didn’t in this case. Looking at the tennis world again, top players break racquets fairly regularly and receive a code violation - it’s only when somebody is actually hit or injured that stronger...

I think its largely attributable to marketing and Butterfly do that far more effectively than DHS. Personally I’m drawn to DHS and play with a HL5x and Hurricane.

I had noticed that too Carl. At least I know why my post wasn’t visible initially now. I may have inadvertently done something to it during that invisible,period while trying to edit / work out why it wasn’t appearing, so it may be related to user error…

I order mine from Aliexpress - I have ordered blades, glue, rubbers, balls and all have come between 2-4 weeks and prices have been very good. Blue sponge provincial cost me £43 inc VAT and no duties.
