As UpSideDownCarl said. Winter sucks for rubbers. In my experience tacky rubbers suffer a lot. Not only they got hard (which makes it harder to use) but they also are getting covered by small particles of water that prevent grip. During play breath on it every know and then and wipe them clean.

Is it cold where you play? If it is cold and moist my rubber has same tendency. Edit: You cleaned it yet?

Also small edit, if your read more about the Long V mythology, the better quality (prove, national etc) the harder it is to use. The higher the grade the better the player required. Not to control it, but to actually wield it. More power needed to engage higher gears.

130€ is not that great of a price. You can order Ovtcharov No1 sensor all day long from Poland for about 150€ any time. If that will make you feel better get it. If you want to improve and win more games, train harder.
