  1. Post your latest EJ purchase

D-2 has a paper thin basesheet, the rubber is elastic but easily snappable if you pull on it too hard, after removing the initial glue job the rubber has sustained some minor damage at the edges. Gluing with waterbase was very nerve wracking (and not without error) but thankfully DHS #15 peeled...
  2. Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard vs Golden Tango PS and Golden Tango

I felt the sponge on GTPS felt softer than its rating, softer than PK50 and Codexx 52- also less tacky and bouncier, slightly more "jelly" feeling. They all play reasonably similar though. The topsheet of the Golden Tango series felt a bit firmer and less grabby than that of the Codexx series...
  3. Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard vs Golden Tango PS and Golden Tango

I thought it was decent, pretty similar to Codexx 52, both I liked better than GTPS though. But I think these 50 degree hybrids are not as good in terms of stability or linearity compared to the harder 54-55 degree hybrids.
  4. What are the must try composite blades from common Chinese brands such as DHS, Yinhe, SANWEI and Sword?

729 F1 used to be a forum darling, I think Yinhe V16 also deserves a mention as well. Never used the F1 but the V16 is very fast and direct, ~6mm with Michael Maze composition.
  5. Who has the better at serving?

Dima looks like he gets better spin, but I think Boll is better at using his wide variety of serves to set up his gameplan
  6. How to identify wood composition/blade identification

Given that this blade has stars in the lens I'm led to believe that it is a DHS premade, I don't know which one it is, but it is probably made of basswood and looks pretty similar to the old DHS 08 blade which is 7 ply basswood made for short pips hitting.
  7. Tenergy 05 Muacks! Luv you so much!

I think the only rubber left for Gozo to fall in love with, is Butterfly Bryce with some proper speed glue
  8. Is there a short-pimple play like inverted? Looking for an alternatives for Rakza PO

To my knowledge RITC 802-40 probably the closest one thats made in China. Joola Tango Ultra and Butterfly Raystorm were both regarded as very close to inverted, softer topsheet better grip than 802-40, but more expensive and I'm not sure if they are still sold anymore.
  9. World #90 Iba Diaw loses to Unranked Female Opponent, Calls Cheating!

The racket in question: Handle is pretty obviously Super Vis, red sponge on fh 388D-2 green: At 35:40 in the video, dude says D09C fh
  10. World #90 Iba Diaw loses to Unranked Female Opponent, Calls Cheating!

I suddenly feel the need to buy a Super Viscaria with D09C and Dawei 388D-2
  11. Stiga Clipper CC rubbers

Clipper family are of a softer and stiffer variety, due to the 7 ply construction with soft wood. Its probably due to the thicker construction that you feel it is not as "springy" as the thinner Vis and Primo (assuming off- version).
  12. Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard vs Golden Tango PS and Golden Tango

Available in max thickness from tabletennis11 and joolausa. I just don't think they are stocking the 2.0 or 1.8 anymore
  13. Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard vs Golden Tango PS and Golden Tango

I've heard K2 is more similar, I tried K1 for a bit but it is softer and more like GTPS
  14. Switching to short pips on bh

It'll be a fun setup to whip out once in a while, but in my experience you'll eventually run into a lot of situations where having funky low grip pimples might serve as a bigger weakness than a strength. If you really like playing with these pips, I'd just get some for a sub setup to carry with...
  15. Garaydia ZLC - Where?

Your best bet is to check Ebay every now and then, FS section of forums, or ask around the players in your region to see if someone has one they are willing to part with
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I think you should just buy whatever you're drawn to at the moment, it is more valuable to have something you can hit the ball with and to actually play with it than it is to worry about the details and intricacies of specific equipment
  17. Best LP for casual play?

op is asking for a long pimple
  18. Best LP for casual play?

Palio CK531A, Dawei Saviga V are both cheap, good reversal, easy to hit with
  19. Post your latest EJ purchase

I just got one of these secondhand and its pretty nice. It has a dead spot sound in a small patch of the backhand side but I honestly have not felt it just from playing with it. I have Aurus and Golden Tango on it right now and it feels good, my sample feels slower than my Pro Feeling and D715...
