  1. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

The textreme keyword wore off, people maybe stopped finding it magical.
  2. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

I think he reached more than 300
  3. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

Well 12k carbon is 3 times as expensive as 3k carbon (at least at my supplier), so using more expensive fiber will drive the price (r&d and such). Fancy blades with fancy-sounding materials like super 12k carbon with super Stiga core material will have super fancy price tag :|
  4. Anti spin

Theoretically yes. But from my (limited) experience it's floaty topspin. Very weak topspin.
  5. Anti spin

It does not reverse any spin. The thing it does is it does not change the spin. What you consider a backspin is a ball spinning towards the opponent if the ball was the same spin was going towards the opponent he would consider it topspin. Same thing if a ball is spinning towards you you...
  6. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

If you really love a blade then settle with it. I've been on a search for this type of blade for a long time, but I settled with Chinese Clone of W968-8 (both I, my fellow players and my coach really like the blade, no selling though :p). If the Long 5 does not feel crisp enough, get H301/N301...
  7. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

What is that you like about your 5X then :| If you will name the things that you like in the blade it will make it possible for YOU to decide. No one here can (or even should) make that decision for you. PS: I really like this blog...
  8. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

BTW Why do you hate your Long VX? I used to have a Long V clone blade and I hated bouncy rubbers on it (I am a brick hoarder though, I use 50degrees rubber on BH and 55 on FH). Maybe your issue is not the blade itself but the rubbers.. Maybe you should ask your playmates to let you try their...
  9. Why do you play table tennis?

You're lucky m8, it's real hard to find a training a competent training partner that is willing to work with less skilled not professionally trained players, mostly because the latter play mostly in their respective clubs. I know that in Gdansk, owners of channel table tennis experts have open...
  10. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

    My thoughts exactly.
  11. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

I have same EJ disease. I keep collecting blades, but I only wound up using one of them which is neither fastest, not most control focused, not flexiest, nor stiffest. Blades can be work of art. I buy them, sell them and I even made few of my own. The problem is that as you mature as a player...
  12. Why do you play table tennis?

I think if he trained with high school girl team he might have had an ulterior motives ;);)
  13. Muhammad Usman vs Abdul Raheem - All Pakistan Master's Cup 2019

It's dead circle of lack of funding. One get poor results because there is lack of funding. Government (or any other governing party) will not fund anything that does not yield measurable results. There is one good catch though. In most of countries you can get funding by not specifying sport...
  14. Lee sang su teaching backhand, can anybody translate

Dr. Real? Or real Dr? Either way we need both of those in the current sad table tennis less times...
  15. Could my equipment be hampering my consistency?

Smallest of hints though. When you will be testing those blades keep in mind that what you feel while playing is determined by two factors, namely rubbers and blade, not the blade itself. Some people use different rubber for BH and FH, if you don't like someone's setup in FH try twiddling the...
  16. Doubt about changing

Alliexpress. Consider Sanwei Target 90, it's easier to use.
  17. Could my equipment be hampering my consistency?

It's a typical combination though. It's hard to make a good balsa blade without carbon extra kick. I've made like 2 of those, they were very good in terms of feel and spin, but they were drastically lacking in terms of speed (ash, ash, balsa, ash, ash) XXX. carbon balsa core carbon XXX, are very...
  18. Could my equipment be hampering my consistency?

How do you practice? Are you only playing with a friend, are you playing in a club or are you doing regular fed drills. If something might be causing incostistency it's technique I would wager or the equipment is too fast :| If you don't have access to fed drills then get a bucketful of balls...
  19. I need a faster blade

That were my thoughts exactly. That's why I asked the question about weight. 86g for Clipper clone is a little low I think. Most clippers listed in frequency database were around 89-90ish. Those with higher frequencies were as heavy as 91g. OP said his Fextra was 86g.
  20. I need a faster blade

That's pretty light I think :| I think that heavier blades tend to have more speed, but that is very complicated topic, there is more than one thread about this on this forum. I agree with Kolev too, speed comes mostly from technique and accelaration I wouldn't downgrade to 5ply though. You...
