Cool! It would be interesting to see the difference of spin after blocking actively (firm grip and some forward motion) vs. blocking soft or passively (loose grip and no movement when blocking).

If you're new to gluing I would buy Rev. 3 medium viscosity. I have not come across any other glue that gives you as much time before the glue starts to "gel" or partially dry. It's generally a very good glue. EDIT: I mean the regular version of Rev.3 medium viscosity, not the odourless version.

I believe the K5 is a higher quality blade than the K2, I would spend a bit more and go with the K5. But it depends on what kind of speed rating you want in the blade.
