  3. Darker Hinoki 5p-2a

Well all manufacturers give length and thickness, where the thickness is measured is unclear. Cheers L-zr
  4. Darker Hinoki 5p-2a

There is more to it than a large handle. 5 layer wood and hinoki outer (>2 mm). An I also don't like blades with names attached to them... Cheers L-zr
  5. Darker Hinoki 5p-2a

You mean 100x23 (or it would be extremely short 😉 ) So that probably means the same for a Flared, I guess they are made for Japanese hands, too small for me. I have a BTY innerforce ALC.S which is 100x 24, cant stand that handle, like a popsickle. Still interested in trying my Mjönir? Cheers...

  7. Question about sealing

I worked on wooden boats for 30 years I made my own ribs so I know. That blade is made of substandard wood that wasn’t dried properly (done that too). Go ahead and beat your dead horse…
  8. Question about sealing

Haha, you go ahead and waste your with that. No it’s not that easy, and it’s actually layers of plywood. If you manage to get it straight it won’t stay that way for long..

If You find it "badly unflat" retire it... Cheers L-zr
  10. Question about sealing

That can not be due to the laquer. It could make the vibrations a little duller but You wouldn't notice much stiffness change. Use a sanding block, Thats a block made of cork that You wrap the sand paper around. Cheers L-zr
  11. Question about sealing

Not stiffness but the hardness may have changed a bit. Do NOT try to use a resolvent like Carl says, it may turn into a mushy mess, sticky and yucky. I would do like Yoass suggest and sand it. Be careful that You don't reach the wood though. Cheers L-zr
  12. Question about sealing

If you don’t overdo it it doesn’t affect much, I currently use one layer of regular varnish very like the ones you used. Four layers sound a bit much to me… Cheers L-zr
  13. Darker Hinoki 5p-2a

I’m talking about thickness here. For a flared handle. 100 x 23 is too thin for me. Thanks Cheers L-zr
  14. Darker Hinoki 5p-2a

  15. Blade Wings

  17. First custom bat for amateur player

Yes, Tensor rubbers release more energy at a hit where a linear absorb more, in general that is… The new larger ball is slower and has less spin than the old one so it is an attempt to compensate for this. Cheers L-zr
  18. smart table tennis racket

    Absolutely totally useless... Cheers L-zr
  19. carbon blade with spin ability

The feel may be slightly different so that you think the spin is different, but in reality not much… For me the feel is important if it feels good I get more confident… Cheers L-zr
  20. SDC Handmade Blades

Too much of a coincidence.... 😲 Cheers L-zr
