Cool thread. May I throw another question in the mix? Do any of the Hinoki guys in here have experience with this? Flirting with the idea of Hinoki and the fat handle is appealing. I'll be in Japan soon, so it wont be too expensive. 3 ply blade.

the st handle is not bad, it seems like normal size st, but the fl handle is pretty thin. its only good for people with small hands and kids.

i cant answer this, but have you considered the rosewood version of 968 if your already familiar w/ the limba one? I think people play european rubbers on these.

ive played w/ both, 986 is def faster. Accoustic has more flex (986's now got harder) Accoustic reg handles are tiny, 986 handles arent that much fatter at the neck but get wide at the bottom. The Accoustic w/ hard rubber and good technique loops really nice and is probably strong enough for...

no one knows the answer? if all things are equal besides thickness, how can one be heavier? We all agree that the thinner one will be flexier? Would a different of 5.9 to 6.1 be perceptible? So many questions..
