  1. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

Fantastic match by Linda Bergström and SYS. Bergström was so close in winning the 4th set. I must say she consistently chopped down to the whiteline, making it difficult for SYS to kill.
  2. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

Is it just me? I've watched Liang Jingkun against Anton and Darko. Anton and Darko seemed to struggle with Liang's serves. They kept popping the ball sky high. I've never paid attention to Liang's serve. Only recently I realise many opponents couldn't read Liang's serves
  3. Can anybody recommend a blade that is both controllable at the table and fast further from the table?

Yes but it doesn't mean it's irrelevant. Many say W968 already has so much feel and control and massive power. I've played W968 for over 3 years. If every score of W968 is 10, my 97g Stiga Karlsson is: W968 1980 Karlsson Control 10 13 Short game 10 12 Flat hit 10 9 Chop 10 12 Spin...
  4. Can anybody recommend a blade that is both controllable at the table and fast further from the table?

It’s hard to find coz they were made in the 1980s.
  5. Can anybody recommend a blade that is both controllable at the table and fast further from the table?

Been searching for this blade. The closest is an old 5-ply that weighs 97g. Best in the world close to table. Looping further away is about 80% of my w968 with a much higher accuracy
  6. Dynasty Carbon and ZJK ALC speed?

Close to table: Dynasty > ZJK ALC Looping power away from table If you are strong enough to flex dynasty: Dynasty > ZJK ALC If you are amateur and can't handle the hard dynasty: ZJK ALC > Dynasty Dynasty is an inner carbon blade with a hard top ply, hence it's harder to access its true power...
  7. Provincial/National H8-80

Had a H8-80 a few years ago. Topsheet oxidised within a week. Never bought a second sheet. Hopefully the provincial and national quality is better

  9. New Butterfly Hadraw 5

For that price I can get a 97g old Stiga 5-ply (pre-2000), much better feel and same power

Not only that. WCQ is just rising really fast. I’ve said this many times. The rapid rise of WCQ resembles the rapid rise of ZJK, robbing Wang Hao’s last chance of Olympic gold. This might happen to FZD
  12. Graph comparing speed (output) vs input of different rubber types

I use 40 degree old H3 (tacky) on my BH. The curve goes a bit exponential actually. It will take me quite a bit of effort to get enough speed (which I prefer). E.g. I put in 5 effort = power 3, 6 effort = power 3.5 but when I give 8 effort = power 9 Newer H3 (non tacky) is a lot more linear

Taiwan has one of the best TT training in Asia tho. I wonder why LYJ’s coach not put more emphasis on his body training.
  14. Should absolute beginners take lessons or just play?

We always start with group lessons first and see if you like it.
  15. WTT Singapore Smash 2024 3/7-3/17

Does Felix have a Chinese penhold coach? Someone who played in the first division CNT would help.
  16. WTT Singapore Smash 2024 3/7-3/17

Ex As a penholder Felix struggled with WCQ’s serve. He was very lucky to get 1 game off WCQ. So far WCQ has only dropped 2 games.
  17. WTT Singapore Smash 2024 3/7-3/17

    Yup totally agree.
  18. WTT Singapore Smash 2024 3/7-3/17

WCQ lost his first set in the entire tournament to Qiu Dang. To be fair the score is very tight. If Qiu Dang can return a few WCQ’s serves the score would’ve been very different.
  19. WTT Singapore Smash 2024 3/7-3/17

Hats off for Timo. At the age of 43 this is an outstanding performance 👍👍🙌🙌 Understandably he was already slow and tired in the last set. But he still put up a good fight against someone 16 years younger than him.
  20. WTT Singapore Smash 2024 3/7-3/17

WCQ has not lost a single set. How is he so fast on both wings. He almost has no weakness
