That is just a rumour. I have posted a picture of what he used at WTTTC here http://www.tabletennisdaily.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?1129-Chinese-Team-Bat-pictures!/page8. He still uses Tenergy but it's 64. And for the Gold Arc and Gold Arc 3, they are coming in May or June.

After playing approx 1 month I re-boosted my H3 BS with one layer of Dianchi without removing the old layer of glue and it domed perfectly after 1 hour. Applied one layer of WBG on my blade and attached blade and rubber together. Had to cut the rubber due to expansion :)

Playing in Mizuno Drive 4 now and I love them! Played in Yasaka Ma Lin shoes they didn't have much absorption but and I think they wear out really fast. But besides that they are light and flexie...

By block from mid-range you mean drive right? Perhaps you should try the new Donic Bluefire M1,2,3 it should be an awesome BH rubber as Andro Rasant and it has a nice blue sponge with both red and black top sheet :-) Wouldn't recommend max because of the stiff blade structure.
