  2. T League - Japan's New TT league

it may be only anecdotical but in my local club i see more kids playing than 10 years ago. it could be for other reasons as well (new facilities etc...)

thanks v much. the other matches I filmed as well, the SF was perhaps more spectacular with more rallies because its my teammate and we play every week so we know each other very well. In the final there are not many rallies because both of us have strong FH attacks, so indeed it was tactical...
  4. Why waiting for back spin balls drop before looping back works.

no this is a misconception. I train a lot with choppers and with good coaches. its much better to try to get the ball early. of course, you need to have a quick footwork else you just end up messing. you don't need power just keep an a quite closed bat angle, and loop it safely. wait for the...
  5. Why waiting for back spin balls drop before looping back works.

If I play a chopper I will try to time just before the top of the bounce after a chop. Less spin at this time and less sensitive to whether it’s (heavy) backspin or knuckle ball

So we had our Autumn tournament in our local league with an open tournament and sorted-by-age-category tournaments, so 40-49 for me There were 22 entries in that tournament but a few guys cancelled. First, I was in a group of 4, together with the 1st seed, but he didn't show up, and #4 of the...
  7. Austrian Open 2018

He's clearly getting closer to beating him everytime. I was amazed by HT FH side this time. Before one could argue he was lacking power. I don't think he's lacking power anymore. He won quite a few FH to FH rallies against XX which is one of the strongest in the world.
  8. Austrian Open 2018

Today I was very impressed by Harimoto’s FH. It’s always been said his FH was relatively weak but today I think he really hit the ball hard and won quite a few FH to FH rallies and against XX it means a lot !! I think XX can thank his luck not to have lost today but its just a matter of time...

@Hridoy i think its very good ! you seem to have a good coach, his advice should be better than mine !
  10. Austrian Open 2018

Honoka missed the BH penalty at (2nd) matchpoint 10-9 !!!! and loses it 10-12 ... what a pity But I think she'll be on the CNT watchlist together with ITO. Soon there's gonna be too many Japanese players to watch for them... LOL
  11. Austrian Open 2018

SATO seems more consistent than HASHIMOTO and a better footwork, but HASHIMOTO counters seem more powerful with her BH, she has a bit more reach as well and her backspin pushes seems more difficult to handle for the opponent
  12. Austrian Open 2018

    HASHIMOTO is really good though

Boogar seems to be in a decent club, I'm sure he can find somebody for multiball or that his partners and himself can learn who to feed. They seem to be very motivated
  14. Austrian Open 2018

she can take the night flight direct to Narita
  15. Li Sun: It's Time to Shift Our Thinking of Ito

ZJK counter attack on ML FH flick is very impressive. I don't think i've seen any other players do that consistently
  16. Li Sun: It's Time to Shift Our Thinking of Ito

yes Olympics is more prestigious but really winning WTTC is a more difficult achievement, except perhaps for Chinese players, where the most difficult thing is not to win the Olympic tournament itself but to win the qualification tournaments or meet the criteria to get in the Olympic slots !

@Boogar nice effort for your training, keep it up , but here is some piece of advice: - your training time is limited, try to make the most of it. It seems you are not 100% focused on EVERY ball, and thats too bad. Like the serve is high, or even wrong. or you're playing a good // FH attack...
