  1. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2018

When she won the Asian games her service was very effective but Chinese players got used to it. Hirano should put more variation un her game and get out of her usual schemes. Play more freely
  2. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2018

Kasumi should relax and forget the pressure. She’s too tense
  3. Intensive table tennis training in Tokyo or Osaka

i confirm. I've been training for a while with Sakamoto and I can't think of a better coach in Tokyo available for amateurs. He's not cheap though. You can train at the same facility with his assistant Kitamura, he's a very good coach too. Else you can try www.lilisc.com they have younger...
  4. North- and South Korea to combine teams in Halmstad!

Japan is happy. They killed two birds with a single stone
  5. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2018

It was a very high level match between Mizutani and Lee. After winning the 3rd 11-3 and leading 8-0 in the 4th Mizu looked invincible but he lost it 12-14. Fortunately he produced a very high performance in the 5th to win it 11-7... So many emotions Harimoto didn’t perform well against JYS. He...
  6. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2018

Harimoto performed below his usual level. Jeoung was a tough opponent and Harimoto couldn’t handle the pressure. Lee is really playing very very well. It’s going to be very difficult for Japan but I still believe in them
  7. North- and South Korea to combine teams in Halmstad!

apparently the Korean team is 3 NK players and 2SK players (YANG Haeun & JEON Jihee) SUH Hyowon must not be very happy about it
  8. North- and South Korea to combine teams in Halmstad!

I saw her on Japanese TV with her teammates...
  9. North- and South Korea to combine teams in Halmstad!

They interviewed the Japanese players who said they were surprised and that the unified team would be even stronger but they are excited about the challenge. They don’t seem angry at all and I believe they’re too young to have much interest in politics
  10. North- and South Korea to combine teams in Halmstad!

I was thinking the same LOL If I take hint of the interviews seen on tv it looks like it will be Yang Haeun, Suh Hyowon and Kim Song I. No surprise for Yang and Kim. Jeon Jihee might be stronger than Suh Hyowon but it really depends on their form and their opponent
  11. North- and South Korea to combine teams in Halmstad!

don't worry , Japan will crush them :-)
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@OSPH i think your advice to find the right distance is a very good one. I will try again among other things. I think it just comes with practice. I have to play more often with stronger players who have good serves to get used to it.
  13. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2018

Japan Male team crushed HK 3-0 and Female Team crushed Ukraine 3-0. it will be Japan vs Koreas in both events in the next round....
  14. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

roller-coaster continues with my TT level... I had a disastrous mini-tourney last Thursday where I played really bad and lost to 2 guys i had always won easily so far. including a 0-11 loss in the 1st set !!! to be honest i was very tired, lacking a lot of sleep and not fit at all to play both...
  15. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2018

yes I saw the last part of that match. At the end it looked like YU didn't know how to play TT anymore. At 10-5 Bilenko took a time out, and Yu stayed at the table, she couldn't even face her coach.. it was obvious she was going to lose seeing her face long ago.
  16. Kurashima: We Fielded the Wrong Line-Up

he fielded Kenta Matsudaira instead of Niwa against Chinese Taipei In retrospect he should have done that against England. From the Japanese point of view, that both Mizutani and Harimoto lost against Pitchford is regrettable and a bad result, but Niwa losing to Walker is beyond simple words...
  17. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2018

Disastrous result for Niwa against Walker... Japanese players are spending too much time in TV shows
  18. Did Fan Zhendong lose to Harimoto on purpose? (Asian Cup 2018)

I'd love to see that but after that very embarrassing loss to England, chances are high they finish 2nd of their group. Which means an encounter with China in semis or even 1/4 becomes likely.
