  1. World Table Tennis Championships 2017

Nobody can beat FAN Zhendong this time I think. This tournament is in Germany. I think there will be a few surprises and some Chinese players will be upset. Hirano has seeded some doubts among all Chinese players and given some courage to their opponents. However there are five Chinese in both...
  2. Jun Mizutani and Samsonov Training - Russian League 2017

I agree 100% with you, even though i love him
  3. Jun Mizutani and Samsonov Training - Russian League 2017

so sad that Vladi lost that Bronze medal match...
  4. Playing against pips or anti spin

Usually these guys serve long, and get ready to hit hard the 3rd. so receiving well those long serves is important. they are PH, and i'm finding out that usually its better to serve on their FH, if serving on the BH side, its usually better to serve them topspin serves. Usually those guys are...
  5. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

went to the club today. I didn't play Wed,Thur,Fri so i was really in need LOL but i went without my usual buddies, and it was not easy to find partners. after 30mns of wait, i found a guy just to practise FH to FH. I could try some new tips that my coach told me about foot balance and...
  6. Playing against pips or anti spin

well i do know what they don't like, keep the ball low and spinny. don't attack with too much speed. but usually the guys I play have good serve + strong 3rd ball attack and its difficult to adapt from the start... blocking feels much different against this kind of players - its actually better...
  7. Butterfly Rozena Rubber Review

yes I think she did, so did Ai FUKUHARA (FH). I'm using it for my BH... actually I'm trying a bit to play like LIU SW with BH. stay near the table, short stroke form. The rubber is very tacky, you don't need to use the full arm to put a lot of spin. with good wrist and timing you can get good...
  8. Butterfly Rozena Rubber Review

Thanks for the review Dan i see that there's been no review for Butterfly SpinArt (that I'm using)... Its been available for a while and also been using the Spring Sponge technology and I think its a very under-rated rubber; the price range is similar to Rozena . I'd be happy to have your...
  9. CNT Warm-up Matches Before WTTC May 13-14

ZJK seems to be back in top form !!!! wow maybe he can surprise all of us and become the Champion again (if against MA Long) ??? i think he has no chance against FZD
  10. Playing against pips or anti spin

One of the style i struggle most with is the PH attacking with short pips. i don't practise enough against this style, no usual partners playing this way, but its still a common one in Japan. I don't have a great record against this kind of players.
  11. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@OSPH the angle on the vid is a bit strange and I can't tell for sure whats good and whats wrong. The main *impression* is that you are too tense. relax a bit more The timing looks pretty good to me. Touch as well. The balance looks bad, you look to be on one foot only. That looks to me as...
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

yes i can understand that for 10:10 for example, the left foot is on the 10 of the clock, but how about 15 ? its 15mn so the 3 of the clock ?? NL says his foot are parallel so both looking at 10 o'clock ? but thats not how you play FH is it ?
  13. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

sorry whats the unit ? i'm not sure i understand those numbers
  14. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

10:10 or 10:15 whats this ? direction of clock ? if so, i think what my coach recommends me for FH is more like 12:07
  15. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

A guy who is better than me wants to play money with me. He says he can give a handicap but I don't want any of it. Because I would find it humiliating to lose give a handicap and anyway I manage to grab sets without any, but very very seldom I win Instead I would prefer him to give good odds...
  16. Need help in serve receive

actually, especially when i'm facing stronger players, i do that a lot. when receiving short serves i always tell myself to take the ball as soon as i can. usually i have much better control to do either stop receive or agressive long push, (or more rarely the flick). When i do so, even when...
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

i wish i did bring a camera too because it was an interesting session ! regarding what a cross-step, you can see it here its a strange approach to favour cross-step when receiving, and i don't see many pros or even amateurs doing that in receive !!! but its got some merits ! pros move and...
  18. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I think the best serve to make a good 3rd ball attack is a low half long serve, half long means the second bounce should be just at the edge of the table, and low so make any agressive receive difficult. the ball will not come back short and 90% of the receives can be attacked. its not important...
  19. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Today i had a 1:1 lesson not with the usual coach. It is always a bit confusing because they're not teaching the same thing. In TT like in many other things, there's not just a single answer to every problem. I've had a problem for too long having a high error rate on the 3rd FH attack mainly...
