Today I played 2 hours at the club. played 1 hour doing drills with my usual partner. then spent 1 hour doing matches. Strange feeling. I think I played rather well today, many nice rallies, i think my serve/receive was rather good. but i won only 1 set, and lost 4 matches to 4 different...

I played wednesday at the club, and today 1h with the coach. As usual after (long) tournaments, the week after, there is a bit less motivation and focus, and less energy to fight at the table, with me being a bit upset at the results and the way I played... hope it will get better next week...

its expensive, but, for example, Kazuhiro Chan (pro player in activity) charges 10,000 yens... i know some coaches who are far from being pro players can charge usually from 5,000 to 7,000 yens, so comparatively, 8,000 yens is almost a bargain given Sakamoto's pedigree... the standard of living...

Londoners like to have fun. I lived there for two years. Many stupid events. I saw the RedBull SoapBox race in Alexandra Palace, that was hilarious, and fully packed of course. Went to "chessboxing" events... very popular as well... Check it on Youtube... The Olympics were a lot of fun...
