After playing a few more times, I'm really starting to love this blade. Its fast, its light, its soft/flexy. It produces a lot of spin and a distinct arc. It really gives you an extra spring for your offensive attack. Im really starting to like it even more than my main V14 Pro and TB ZLC...

is Super ALC a proprietary material made by BTY? Or is it a industrial material standardly available? How hard would it be for other companies like DHS to come out with their own Super ALC?

Why are they making the switch now? The blade has been out since a long time ago.

Well, just in the club I play it, a lot of guys have it. So it seems popular to me, and I see a lot of talk about it on online forums.

That's cool that Liang Jinkun and Wang Chuqin switched over to DHS w968. I think sometime I will need to get me a HL5 or BO2.

Well again, if you want the best "deal" and cost performance. If you want to save the $80, you can also save an additional $120. Just get Sanwei 75, nearly identical to ZJK ALC for $50...

If your talking about zjk alc, you might as well just get the new super alc viscaria.

If you want zjk alc, you can get almost identical blade for far less money. Yinhe v14 pro, 01 pro are pretty much identical. Sanwei 75, paramid, froster, F3 pro are near substitutes. For cost performance, these are better investment. So in that sense, i dont think zjk alc is worth it.

If you're looking for return on your dollar, certainly the DHS is the better investment. They are both excellent blades, but ZJK ALC is not 3 or 4 times better blade. Of course, Yinhe or Sanwei ALC clone is even better investment, with many ALC blades costing $40-$60. Maybe the best return...

Does anybody use the thicker/faster X version? I find it a bit curious that HL5 is so insanely popular among fans but actually not used by so many top players, not nearly as much as Viscaria-variants, for example.

Don't you already have a HL5? What is the difference?

Sure why not, you could also move the Mercury 2 onto the CC just to try it out.

In terms of speed, I personally think its really fast. But I have a big swing, and maybe the inner construction results in faster ball only in bigger swings. How do you like the soft feeling of the blade? I feel that its quite mushy, but maybe I will get used to it.

I think this is actually meant to be a clone of the Ma Lin Carbon. It has a similar construction of Limba-soft wood - carbon. The handle design is also the same. I still prefer the crisp feeling of Koto, but maybe I just need to get used to the Limba-Soft wood design.

I think its consistent. Sweet spot is fine. My points are specific to the blade design, not to the cheapness

Limba is said to have better dwell time and spin, but I feel that a lot of my shots go long.
