  1. Thoughts on this setup?

Yeah basically. The flex makes the blade slower, but it allows the ability to impart more spin on the ball, and to control the length, arc, trajectory of the ball better. Especially on return of serve, having more flex is crucial to control your opponents spinny serves.
  2. Thoughts on this setup?

Â Yes, I think your new setup will be 10-15%Â slower, mainly because of the dwell time and flex of the Yasaka blade.Â
  3. Thoughts on this setup?

Â Yes, I have read that review. In terms of the range of TT rubbers, if Tenergy is a 10, AK47 maybe would be a 8, and the slowest rubber antispin rubber would be a 1. But in terms of physics, if you actually measure the speed of the ball, I think there is between 5-15% difference in speed. Just...
  4. Thoughts on this setup?

Well, it will defnitely be slower. I would say the AK47 is slightly slower than Rakza 7, and the Yasaka is a fair bit slower than DHS. So the rubber is maybe 5% slower, and the blade is maybe 10% slower, so altogether it might feel 15% slower. The rubber change wont have as big as impact as...
  5. Thoughts on this setup?

Its slightly slower, but I wouldnt say much slower. If you are still intermediate player, AK47 is more than enough speed and quality. AK47 is a speedy, soft, very good rubber. For the price, it really is like a dream.
  6. Little advice about switching rubber

Why dont you try Yinhe Apollo 5, or Moon Pro. They have received a lot of praise for their speed and spin. Battle 2 also has great spin. Loki N80 seems like it would be good as well.

Ive never used the h3 37, thats why i am asking. How is it different from the commercial orange sponge h3 in 37 degrees?Â
  8. Thoughts on this setup?

If you are learning strokes, flexier blade will give you a extra split second to hold the ball on your racket and manipulate the ball. You will have better ability to add spin, control arc and length. Yasaka will be noticeably slower than the pg5. It might feel frustrating at times as you...
  9. Thoughts on this setup?

Sounds great. You could also try hk1997 gold on fh, if you want a slightly tackier rubber.Â
  10. Fan Zhendong joins Butterfly

Â Cool story. What did DHS specifically change for the Red H3 37d rubber? How did he get past the dead bounce on his backhand (maybe the blade makes up for it)? Why was Ma Long so insistent on having H3 on his backhand? What was wrong with Tenergy? Â
  11. Fan Zhendong joins Butterfly

Seems like a strange business decision. If I was them, I would be forking over the money to get Ma Long. The Zhang Jike sponsorship really seems to have elevated the Butterfly brand. Nike doesnt count dollars to sign Michael Jordan.
  12. Fan Zhendong joins Butterfly

Â No doubt FZD is the better brand, but why not get both?
  13. tt-mori review has anyone used this site?

Looks like a normal site, why would you think its not legitimate. There is a phone number and email contact form, so you could contact them.Â
  14. Fan Zhendong joins Butterfly

Wang supposedly uses Viscaria blade with Butterfly rubber on backhand. Therefore, not only does he use Butterfly, but as the fastest rising star, he would seem to be the ideal candidate for sponsorship. Ma Long doesnt use it, but with financial incentive, you could get him to switch to...
  15. Fan Zhendong joins Butterfly

So why hasnt Butterfly signed Wang Chuqin and Ma Long? Wang uses Butterfly blade and rubber I believe. They signed Lin Gaoyuan, but I think Wang has a better future.Â
  16. Fan Zhendong joins Butterfly

How come Butterfly hasnt signed Liang Jingkun, he is the next best Chinese player not under Butterfly. Is he signed with anybody? But Fan was the biggest target out there, obvious move by Butterfly. New places will be instant sellers. Why hasnt butterfly tried to poach Ma Long?
  17. Struggling with Hurricane 3 and topspin

I recently tried putting H3Neo on a thicker carbon blade, to correct for its inherent slowness. Indeed, on the thicker blade, H3Neo doesnt feel slow at all. It actually feels fast. The issue now though, is that the dwell time is lower so its hard to generate as much spin. Loops have a tendency...
  18. Who has tried Reactor Rubbers?

Corbor is their cheapest rubber, I wouldnt expect much from it. I think its just made as a cheap option for beginners. I also used the Tornado V5, and it is really amazing. Topspin loops are very powerful. I am also curious how well the Thunder black sponge plays, because it is marketed as a...
