  1. Darker Speed 90 together with Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 turbo Orange 1.6mm

That is super interesting. T05 2.1 is SO bouncy for me on DS-90. I've never tried anything less than 2.1 though which is wwhy I was so interested in this thread. AK47 blue and red are supposed to get great blade effect on 1-ply hinoki, but that wasn't the case for me. Skyline TG3 39, H3 bs 39...
  2. Darker Speed 90 together with Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 turbo Orange 1.6mm

Hey!! Did you try this out? I love the sound of it. I always stayed away from anything thicker than 2.1mm if I could playing on my hinoki 1-ply blades. Accentuating the amazinggg feeling of the hinoki by using a thinner sponge just sounds sooo good.
  3. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

I tried it just this past week. I don't think I'm qualified to really rate it, and I only had 4 sessions with it unboosted and 2 sessions boosted, but it didn't feel like H3. It's heavier than H3 and the throw was similar but a bit higher, but the tackiness is much less. Tackier than 09c though...
  4. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

Mmph~ No need to boost when you have a thick hinoki/cypress blade 😋
  5. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

What is your method for taking care of the sheet? Maybe the method is different. It could also just be QC of the rubber itself, like an old rubber that was sitting for too long in the factory/storage. But wouldn't make sense if it's happening to all your rubbers. My method is after every match...
  6. A better forum via better moderation

I agree!! I'm quite new here, but have enjoyed talking with all the amazing people here. I just now am reading about this and Tony's departure, which is so sad because he's helped me heaps in the past and I've bought 3 blades and numerous rubbers from him. Regardless, forums and public...
  7. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

I have a 5yr+ old sheet and a 2month old sheet and they both are shiny/reflective. Not as shiny as 999T though, that's almost like a mirror😋 The level of reflection I think really depends on how often you clean, cover and take care of the sheet. Tacky rubbers' top sheet in general can last a...
  8. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

I didn't play with it much, but I tried Rxton 9 40.5 and it didn't give me the grabbing/catching feel like H3. It's tackiness is much less, and was quite bouncy (no boosting). I should try it again, but I didn't like it from that short test. People say it's like an easier H3 with less speed, but...
  9. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

    Yes totally! There's also a 2.7mm version ^_^
  10. Barefoot shoes

I was skeptical too, but you can reallyyyy tighten them. Now I like them better than laces! But you have to tuck them, or cut them to your size so the excess doesn't like flop around and trip you 😋
  11. Barefoot shoes

Those are cuteee🫶I loveee the pink and ivory ones!
  12. Barefoot shoes

Phew okay 😋 There are all these: and then the turquoise blue + black. They have like heaps more, but not from that seller I think.
  13. Barefoot shoes

Wait that's the wrong sole design! That type kept "rolling" on me. Sorry my post was probably too confusing the way I worded it😖This is the model I found best:
  14. Barefoot shoes

I feel so much more freedom of movement, like better lateral movement and it feels like I'm playing in barefeet 😋 but with grip and no pain. Okay so when I was testing different shoes this happened to me. It was because my foot was shifting inside the shoe, it was collapsing on lateral...
  15. Barefoot shoes

I love to use barefoot shoes for Table Tennis! Just don't stomp in them :P I've tried like 10 different barefoot shoes, and I keep going back to and am basically sticking with these $20 cheap ones. They only last like 4 or 5months though as I practice 3-5 times a week. The grip and lightweight...
  16. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

Okay so just for context, I loveee 1-ply Hinoki with it's buttery-soft feeling. But I just feel I don't have the skill for them especially as I'm a looper. Also @Wakkibatty and @greenbeanmachine are wayyy more knowledgable than me for answering this question. But I'll share what I've found for...
  17. Non-tacky maximum spin but minimum speed rubber

My vote is Nexxus EL Pro 43. Low catapult effect, super soft and you'll deffo bottom-out on flat hits, but so so grippy and easy to engage! Super consistent and easy to control as well. I suppose you could go harder since you're probably stronger than me, but that would add to the catapult...
  18. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

Oh! Also, this is a great screenshot of properly boosted H3 where you can see the pips from the topsheet being tensioned like you wwere saying:
  19. Different Hurricane results based on boosting procedure

Thanks @NextLevel for getting this back on track, lol! ^_^ When I've boosted H3 and other H3-like, chinese-tacky rubbers, I did not notice it being tacky or not if I left the plastic on or not. Even on three 999T's (one of the tackiest topsheets ever, which is more sensitive to change) the...
  20. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

Thank you for the input! It sounds like 729 BB could pair wwell with the W968. That's what I fear wwill be the case; too springy and high throw for me. And I'm like not too keen on LAC since I've tried Rxton 9 and another Loki rubber before and they didn't feel that good to me. But! I was using...
