  1. Is Dignics 09c quicker than the other modern hybrids?

That will be too slow! The only other thing worth considering is NUZN 48 or 50
  2. Is Dignics 09c quicker than the other modern hybrids?

Thanks, I think you are right and that's why I have been reluctant to take that rather expensive gamble. I guess I will just end up taking that chance in the end!
  3. Is Dignics 09c quicker than the other modern hybrids?

Hi i have been trying an innerforce layer ALC with 05fx on my fh, its too reactive, so i've tried victas sticky, sticky soft and v20extra and K3. Whilst the spin as fantastic they are too grippy and too slow for my technique and my style. I have to be able to drive well when that ball is...
  4. Is 10 weeks with a new blade long enough to start getting adjusted to it?

I tried Victas Sticky and Sticky Soft and they give control but affect my smashing and driving too much. I only use 1.9 05fx on my fh so it's not that bouncy tbh. I have tried 05 loads of times but i find it too hard and limiting.
  5. Is 10 weeks with a new blade long enough to start getting adjusted to it?

So I upgraded from a Yasaka Ma Lin carbon to an Innerforce Layer ALC on about 12th Feb. Same weight same rubbers. And I still feel like its too fast, too reactive on serve return and generally not right. I hit quicker winners with it and it is better for my pips, but my fh is all over the...
  6. Different set up for different types of venue?

There definitely is a difference. It might be speed, bigger halls are generally less humid.
  7. Different set up for different types of venue?

Playing in small local league 1 table venue is massively different to playing in larger halls! Is it a good idea to have a couple of slightly different set ups? Maybe max on fh for big halls and 1.9 on fh for small rooms or a slightly different blade (probably practically difficult) or even...
  8. Why do pros risk tossing the ball outside the 30 degree window?

You must be an illegal server who wins lots of points with illegal serves to be so defensive of the process!!
  9. 🌎 🇩🇪 TTD Forum Meet Up in Düsseldorf - September 11th, 12th & 13th 🇩🇪 🌎

I would like to come, better get the passport sorted out!
  10. What innerforce to go for?

It would be interesting to hear what the OP finally went with and his thoughts now! I have recently switched 'up' to an Innerforce Layer ALC from a Ma Lin Carbon to get feel and spin but a bit more speed and I really impressed. I am actually not sure why I did not try one years ago! Well the...
  11. List of outer rubber thickness on modern rubbers!

Please complete the list! Butterfly Tenergy - thick Butterfly Dignics Nittaku Fastarc - thick Nittaku Hammond Z2 Hurricane 3 OS Hurricane 3 BS Victas V15 - thin Victas V20 Victas V22 Xiom Omega 8 Xiom Jekyll and Hyde Xiom Vega Yasaka Rakza 7 Yasaka Rakza X Yasaka Rakza Z Tibhar Evolution...
  12. List of outer rubber thickness on modern rubbers!

So I don't really like the feel of modern rubbers on FH with the thinner rubber! Tenergy and Nittaku Fastarc and Hurricane 3 seemed to have quite thick rubber. Victas V15 Sticky for example does not. A sheet of 1.9 Tenergy 05fx is actually the same total thickness as Max Victas V15 sticky...
  13. Spinlord Waran II

I Just bought some 1.8mm Waran 2. I normally prefer 1.8 short pips and I was thinking it would be harder for opponent but probably a bit harder to use. Anyway it arrived today and it looks more like 1.6mm, I am very disappointed. Is this a spinlord problem. I have had sponge variations...
  14. Singapore Smash 2026, Singapore, 2/19-3/1

the umpires have been outstanding, and IMO because they have been calling foul serves, most of the male pro who mostly serve illegally most of the time have been serving much cleaner. this just proves they are all cheats to be quite frank i think there has still been a lot of head shielding on...
  15. The old serve rules

Good to strict umpiring at Singapore Smash, and the use of TTR! Male service looks a lot cleaner than any pro tournament I have watched for years!
  16. Victas V15 Sticky vs Xiom Omega 8 Hybrid

Victas V15 sticky is an excellent modern hybrid. I think it's the best one I have tried. Very reliable and predictable! Has loads of spin!
  17. 2 blades exactly the same for long matches and bad conditions!

Absolutely sure, others adapt better as it gets humid. My spin becomes less effective, my short pips are harder to use and everyone else seems better at hitting though the ball without spin than me. It feels like lesser players get better, which is really stupid, it is a problem that has been...
  18. 2 blades exactly the same for long matches and bad conditions!

no the blade and rubbers are fine, but they don't play the same at end of night as start even with cleaning!
  19. 2 blades exactly the same for long matches and bad conditions!

Hi I have done this a few times in the past. I think it is a very good idea. My level drops very badly in cold and even more so in humid conditions! Looking back over 30 years most of my unexpected wins come in first or second match of local league or in the morning at tournaments, most of...
