  1. Medium hard rubber for backhand

I have A1 and A2 at home to try, maybe I'll give it a chance ...
  2. Medium hard rubber for backhand

after couple of playing sessions I am afraid that Vega Asia DF is a bit too soft ... it has the right amount of speed, spin and especially control. I spoke to one of my local providers and he said that Xiom Sigma II Euro could be a good option ... I read a couple of reviews and they are mostly...
  3. Xiom Omega VII China Guang hybrid rubber review

Xiom Omega VII China Guang hybrid rubber review

A new generation's tacky rubber with a high balance A new concept tacky rubber that can be used for both forehand and backhand. It's especially powerful when attacking a mid-range top spin play with a strong impact from mid-range because it has a soft sense despite its high hardness. SPONGE...
  4. Best BH rubber (xiom vega)

Vega Asia DF. have it currently on my BH side and it is really sweet!
  5. Xiom Vega Tour Review

Vega X felt quite fast to me when I tried it ... sorry to bring this old(er) thread up - I am currently playing with Omega VII China Guang. which I like, it's a great rubber ... for someone who is competing and practicing every day. for a recreational play, it is a bit demanding. but I do like...
  6. What rubbers should i get to new blade?

like Jan said, Rakza 7 should work very nicely. I do find Xiom Vega Asia DF to work extremely well with this blade, it is really nice. had some problems with backhand control and with this rubber I kind of got it back a bit ... am actually thinking of risking and getting another one for forehand ...
  7. Is Dignics 09c good for serve?

you must also know one thing - material of top guys isn't exactly the same as the material we get from tt11 or local shops ... even clubs don't get that special material, if they don't have top player(s), sponsored by someone. I was in a club where from time to time, we'd get some candies -...
  8. Xiom new collection (2025)

I have the regular version, Pro wasn't available in my region - what is the difference? I read it's same blade, Pro is a bit bigger and that's it. but yeah, I can agree, this blade sure is something else and probably really one of a kind ...
  9. Best alternatives to Dignics 09C?

amazing! I tried Bluestar A1. it is not as tacky, thus gives a sense of being a faster rubber (so far I tried Bluegrip C2 and Omega China Guang). good sensation, good spin as well, but to my liking a bit too fast … quite catapulty, so to say. Bluegrip C2- really loved playing with this rubber...
  10. Best alternatives to Dignics 09C?

and just to add of top this very good thought - technique. with proper technique you will produce heaps of ball rotation on loops, topspins, backspins, pushes, even flips, no matter the type of the rubber surface.
  11. Post your latest EJ purchase

wanted to buy Xiom Vega Asia DF, check out some blades. left with Xiom Vega Asia DF, Xiom TMXi and Xiom Omega VII China Guang ...
  12. Medium hard rubber for backhand

until recently I played with Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft on BH, then got Xiom Vega Asia DF and is even better for BH. good for serves, nice short game, great for blocking, very good feel, at least to me ... open-ups are spinny, could also to BH winner drives or topspins. thinking of getting another one...
  13. What are your favourite hybrid rubbers?

yeah, I had love & have relationship with hybrids ... I did play with Donic BlueGrip C2, which I absolutely love(d), great for everything, then I tried BlueStar A1 and it was also good, but too fast for my liking. not as forgiving. rubber sheet not as tacky as with C2. gripe with Donics - they...
  14. Looking for FH rubber options

I remembered one thing - I played with Donic Bluegrip C2 which I liked a lot - would Xiom Omega VII China Guang be similar to this rubber? I loved it on my forehand but, as I already stated, I tend to be a Donic rubber destroyer ... so just looking for other options in same performance and price...
  15. Vega Asia DF

Review by 'Yurifi' on item 'Vega Asia DF'

with all the positive reviews and my tendency towards softer rubbers I wanted to try this rubber. I put it onto my Xiom TMXi blade, black 2.0 thickness. the other rubber was Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft as I had the feeling these two might be comparable plus I played now with R7s for a while. AsiaDF is...
  16. Rubber thickness

so 3.85, not 4 mm!? damn, so many things changed in table tennis while I was away … 😅
  17. Rubber thickness

this is exactly where I am at the moment. backhand 2.0 thickness, Rakza 7 Soft, and I really like it. I had Donic Acuda Blue S2 MAX on forehand, which I loved, but isn’t available anymore. I thought BlueGrip S1 would be an upgrade, but MAX is wild (don’t get me wrong, if I would be still...
  18. Rubber thickness

I was thinking about thickness of same rubber. currently I have Vega Pro and Vega X on test, but are 2.0 thickness, but local tt equipment provider only has them in MAX … will wait so that 2.0 comes to stock. love the feel MAX rubber provides but body isn’t as fast as MAX is … 🙈😅
  19. Rubber thickness

just a short question - how does rubber thick translate into play in modern table tennis? I am buying some new rubber and most are available in MAX thickness which I am afraid would be a bit much nowadays. 20 years ago when I played competitively MAX ment most speed, but also nice, cushy...
  20. Xiom Vega Pro and Xiom vega Europe

well, yesterday I playtested Vega Pro and ... I was really disappointed on forehand, initially also on backhand but through a bit more playing I started to like it on backhand. what I did like on forehand, was service, the service return and short play, but drives, loops and topspins were ... I...
