  1. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

Lula The spectol red i dont think are that grippy, they are bouncy. They seem better on my force pro blue 7 ply but there fast as hell. A good payer I know had a mess with them and thought they were not very grippy at all. Do you not think if I sometimes play a reversed shot I should try a...
  2. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

Spectol Red topsheet I have not liked the other short pimples I have used, they seem to much like inverted for opponent to block. Victas 102, Waran and Waran II, Degu.
  3. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

How I like to play, I am a bully! If I play a defender I generally try and attack, If I am playing someone who I feel I am faster or spinnier than I generally try to attack. However when I play faster or stronger attacking players I don't like playing fast fast and getting beaten, so then I...
  4. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

Carl is correct about my grip, but it is 30 years ingrained in me, it would kill me to modify my grip.
  5. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

In this video from Jan 2018 I am using Palio CK531a on bh with 0.6mm sponge. Looks like I can still hit with them and probably better than I do with short pimples. LOL
  6. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

This is a video of me playing a very good young player. He is LP on bh. I am the one that looks a lot older and less fit. He is considerably higher ranked than me and I thought I had some good spells in this match. Bonus point for the first one to name the umpire!!
  7. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

Lula this time I have used short pimples since Jan 3rd 2019. In that time I have played about 130 competitive matches and practised between 150 and 180 hours. But a lot of this has been casual and not proper practice. I find it easier to play 'proper' short pimple shots on short balls, but on...
  8. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

BRS, I have tried spinpips red and blue, waran, waran II and Victas 102, of them all I liked the Spectol Red the best, I don't find it that quick myself, my main issue is is some days i have bad days and play a reversed shot too much and hit balls long, especially against float and especially...
  9. Victas VS402 Limber & V15 Limber

From my brief experience I would say 402 limber is too soft for fh, more of a bh rubber, very spinny, a little bouncy. Definitely more a bh rubber, especially if you are an advanced player, maybe ok on fh for a beginner to intermediate player.
  10. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

lasta, Hopefully the force pro blue should do the trick!! My fh would never cope with the black edition or a clipper Hmmmmm, but should I try carbon like Mima Ito. That would open up a new world of EJing
  11. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

Next Level, I love your directness on the forums. It's great, we would get on really well if we ever met. Your like that strict PE teacher from my children!! Ha ha
  12. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

Whilst I am or have been an EJ, it's only slight. EG - been trying in last 5 months force pro blue, OSP V+, Infinity and Waldner 2016. They are all Off wood blades with slight differences. I have also used spectol red short pimples for 95% of the time since Jan and I play a lot, almost every...
  13. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

well everyone says i play too much of an inverted shot with them anyway (sp), but it seems to go on fairly regularly. force pro blue definitely feels stiffer than osp v+, maybe it is just softer?? feels more predictable to me anyway. i was instantly more consistent with it, even without a...
  14. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

I have been using short pimples for 5 months solidly, but experimented with them several times before hear and there (In 5 months I have probably played 200 matches and practised 10 hours a week at least). Been using them on a stiga infinity, an OSP V+ or a donic waldner 2016. They are decent...

Der Echte I hope you are right and I am wrong and I just adjust my shots a little and find those top ends. I will say my placement has improved.
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Yes I think I am losing something top end. But I am going to be brave and play a weekend tournament with it on the weekend and the venue is fairly slow, so we will see. But getting more balls on the table must be a plus in some ways. And losing that tenergy 05fx overreaction to spin on serves...
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Softer rubbers? Just been trying Hexer Grip, feels softer than 45degree. I am blocking topspin better, can serve tighter, touch is better, easier to flat hit junk. However compared to Ten 05fx less arc, feels harder to power loop, flight flattens out. My training partner says it is spinny...
