Celebrated my 27th Birthday today with Chiang Hung Chieh and Ai Fukuhara. Tomorrow morning I train with Korbel, this time I'll be taking my video camera ;)

Roller or slider? Answer - winner lol

Had a fantastic time at the first two legs of the extraliga finals. This was last night, real clutch victory for the team before they head for the away match tomorrow. Such a brilliant atmosphere from the spectators! <iframe...

I hope not, if there is a vote for it I will be voting against.

I'm not sure. It was raised during the ITTF AGM last year apparently and is being tested by the Swiss Table Tennis Association.

Had a great session with Felipe Olivares of Chile this morning. He took a moment to show me his special tomohawk serve :P <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FMHTableTennisBlog%2Fvideos%2F1514154105271086%2F&show_text=0&width=560"...

And yes a lot of changes made over the last decade have been at the expense of the player and in an attempt to favor the spectator. I've written about that on my blog some time ago and this has been probably the leading cause for dwindling confidence in the ITTF by players (of all levels) around...

As I said there is a lot going on behind the scenes. If I was at liberty to discuss it I would have discussed it. I'm very interested to see the outcome, especially now the Qatar candidate has stepped out and publically announced his support for Weikert. I feel ITTF have had improvements in...

lol...unlikely ha. Sure thing dude.

Sigh, so much behind the scenes that none of you know about lol. Quite frankly I hope Weikert wins. I think ITTF's digital marketing/media and sponsorship has improved a lot since he took charge and he openly supports Steve Dainton the ITTF marketing director who is an absolute legend in that...

The team play tomorrow night, practice is in full swing :D <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FMH TableTennisBlog%2Fvideos%2F1511548485531648%2F&show_text=0&width=560" width="560" height="315" style="border:none;overflow:hidden"...

I'm sure the most reasonable explanation is that they want Dima to focus on the singles where he has a legitimate chance of progressing to potentially win a medal, it's not so surprising really. When I spoke to Timo in China a couple of years ago he said now was the time for Ovtcharov to start...

Karakasevic for sure, most variation and best backhand touch, full table coverage. True backhand dominant player. Also my training partner for this afternoon. Cho! :D

Pavel Platonov's backhand serve. lol

Hi everyone, I'm currently training with the team at TTC Ostrava in Czech Republic for the next 3 weeks in the leadup to the WTTC in Dusseldorf, hopefully I can find some time to post some updates here as I go. The team here is really solid, they will play the Czech Extraliga finals starting...

Thanks guys :)

Hello all! It's been a long time and I've been horrendously busy working with USATT to roll out a ton of new media stuff. We are in the process of overhauling our old and cobweb filled YouTube channel and have produced our first Top 10 video, along with 21 match highlight videos from the US...

Ok well I don't think I'm going to get a new set of pics. He is using MX-P and MX-S and the Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition blade. He said it's possible that he may change blade soon as there may be some new things coming out. With regard to the 'national' rubber, it is a well known fact that...

Ok I got him to send me them but they were out of focus so I had to be a pain in the ass and ask him to retake them lol. While you wait here is a picture of Joo Sae Hyuks backhand to keep you occupied and distracted :P
