  1. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

Does LSD usually stand so much towards the middle against other right hand players? He always seems to be standing where a right handed would stand in receive vs a left handed player
  2. What is going on with Felix??

    It says Ownwin seamless ball?
  3. What is going on with Felix??

I know it applies to both players but the seamless ball has a role in this as well. Like LJK says the ball is light (not the weight) but seamless ball does seem to result in less spin and easier to rally type points. This favours shake hand players. Penholders edge is the spin, placement and...
  4. Does Butterfly keep the best quality blades in Japan?

Does the box or label have a different code or part number? If not, I would say it’s pretty difficult to know if this this true or how the dealers can say for sure that they are selling a “special” pro version. Same for Butterfly blades. The part number and serial number does not seem to...
  5. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

I have tried jpen blade for a while and generally found them more comfortable but it somehow seems to restrict the wrist flexibility a little for me. Have you seen Ryu Seung Min blade and how much he files the index finger side? He actually files the thumb side a whole lot as well. Can’t say I...
  6. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

On a separate note, I managed to get both Dang Qiu and Felix signature earlier this year at Singapore Smash. Up close I can see that they both have larger hands then I have and I do have a larger hands then most Asian. So if Dang Qiu files his blade so much for comfort, I would think most of...
  7. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

This is the area you can consider filing to have a more comfortable pressure on your index finger. This is Dang Qiu Blade. Wang Hao also files a little in this same area.
  8. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

When I was trying various grips, I find that XuXin grip which is similar to yours here your back three fingers are almost fully straight results in a lot of pressure on the index finger. It also makes the rpb side very stiff. At least for me. Forehand is very stronger which is probably why...
  9. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

I agree. Most Penholder with various grip still block with the racket at 90 degree but the blade face can still be closed. Have to think in 3 dimensions. While a counter or loop or Topspin has the racket more starting near 45 and ending around 90-120.
  10. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

You can try filing the back of the handle where the web of between your index and thumb rest in the handle. It helps relief pressure in the index finger. The recent butterfly video on dang qiu shows that he files his handle a lot on this area. You can opt for a slightly more shallow grip as...
  11. Patrick Franziska not using signature Blade

    He signed with Loki https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/liang-jingkun-signs-with-loki.36795/unread
  12. Xu Xin righthanded?

I knew that I should be better than I am now. I have been using my weaker hand to play 😜
  13. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80

Hopefully it is not super heavy like H3 pro turbo
  14. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80

E] Interesting! One is 37.5 and the other is 35 degree. Meaning a softer 8-80 which came only in 37/38 degrees.
  15. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

I think it’s meant to be relevant to the younger generation. I was watching the finals and my friends kid was saying during the intro that the music and light show was cool. Just like in e-sports event. So maybe that’s the target audience that this is meant to attract 🤔
  16. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

At least SYB is looking like she will be in the quarters and not past it as some are saying 🤪
  17. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

I can say it pretty cold here in Singapore now when it would typically be much hotter…. The quarters are starting to look pretty short on “world class” players…..
  18. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

Yupe. As much as I like Xue Fei as I am penholder myself. Xue Fei is much weaker away from the table especially his forehand which is very spin base. Tomo was able to win many of the rallys away from the table as Xue Fei was just not able to overpower him. But he just decided to stay close to...
