Stop trying to brush every ball and crack it a little more, you will hit less forehands into the net. You are kind of just swinging your arm in the general direction of the ball instead of focusing on the timing and actually hitting into it.
  2. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

So it is basically an ARY-C? Would have to be Hugo either directly or indirectly right?
  3. Where to find Genuine Gold Viscaria and W968 ( prott doubt)

All of this is spot on, though I think most equipment enthusiasts just want to see exactly what their idol's equipment feels like even if they understand it won't make them better, but yeah they aren't getting that either unless they use the actual racket that the player hands them.
  4. Where to find Genuine Gold Viscaria and W968 ( prott doubt)

It is really this simple even if it isn't the answer EJs want to hear. Qualifying this post with the fact that I have several friends who are sponsored to the level of getting customization from major brands, I can assure any small batch blades/rubber that were made for a certain player will not...
  5. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

How does one know it is the ARY-X despite having the ARY-C handle from those pictures?
  6. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

Lol who could've seen this coming :ROFLMAO:

Anecdotes like these aren't as informative as you think they are when the level difference is so big between two players. A 2450 could beat a 1950 using long pips on the backhand, that doesn't mean that a fellow 1950 trying to beat this 1950 should switch to long pips to win. The reason the...

In the case of Butterfly players, often much more than only 2.5 degrees hardness extra, but it is a case by case basis for the most part
  9. Blade differences between brands?

So they aren't large differences structurally or aren't large differences in terms of performance? Because they definitely are large differences in terms of performance...
  10. Blade differences between brands?

For low to mid level amateurs maybe. For most people above that level, the differences are very noticeable. Anyone in the latter group who is given the chance to get familiar with a Harimoto ALC and a 968, and then given 100 of either of them blind with all other variables the same, would be...
  11. Blade differences between brands?

It should be pretty well documented online that the Long 5/W968 are inner limba arylate carbon equivalents.
  12. Blade differences between brands?

This is very untrue - the Harimoto ALC and W968 are both inner ALC limba blades with larger head sizes, and no player over the level of 1600 USATT would ever confuse the two especially when it comes to more powerful strokes. Throw Ovtcharov ALC into the mix, and the same applies. You could take...
  13. At What Point is an Upgrade from D09c to Z03 Justified on BH?

I'm not really sure how you think anybody ever tries new equipment then? You think every amateur tries something for 1 week max and then makes a final decision? Playing matches and even tournaments are part of the testing process...
  14. At What Point is an Upgrade from D09c to Z03 Justified on BH?

A lot harder to keep shots on the table when you are giving lower quality balls that the opponent can more easily attack ;)
  15. At What Point is an Upgrade from D09c to Z03 Justified on BH?

Why not? It lasts several months and is a premium rubber. At the least, within a few weeks you should start to see whether the potential suits you or not.
  16. WTT Contender Almaty 2026 Sep 1-6

My money will be on Kirill in a reasonably comfortable one, but I do hope to be proven wrong...

There are over 50 players in the US 2600+, and not all Chinese provincial players are at that level at their peak much less in retirement, in fact many aren't. 2400-2550 is a common range unless you are one of the better players for a stronger province.
  18. TTBL (Bundlesliga) 2026 - 2027

Well the common consensus is that it goes WCQ and then everyone else as far as short game... Felix would probably be next up IMO. As someone who has seen every top player in the training hall, I can see where you are coming from. But things like how seriously players take their practice (or...
