Did you not read my exchange with Grumps above? He completely misunderstood the contents of the TTE ratings data dump and consequently the charts/conclusions/etc are meaningless.

A 17 year old can only play a senior in a senior event which are open to anyone and result in only senior points. Two over-40 players playing in a senior event will only get senior points, but same players playing an over-40 (aka "veteran" event) will get veteran points, two 14-year olds...
