Long backspin reverse serve for me, being a lefthander and serving it short for most of the match it comes back across their forehand into their body so it seems to be effective most of the time :D

Yes usually I do, it's pretty small odds that the ball is going to come right into the spot where I hit my forehand, especially when I am recovering after each shot, so I am always moving, it's just good practice to keep on your toes all the time :)

My backhand is better...that is all :P Just kidding. I don't agree that using a backhand to win a point is a bad thing, using backhands for 3rd ball attack is fine, some people have better technique on their backhand and better feeling for the more offensive play, it's good to have a full range...

If training isn't working for you then change the way you train, try different exercises or scenarios, more gameplay exercises etc.

;) too right. The best way to avoid that is to make sure you really use your legs and core to drive the ball deep. The closer to the back line you can drive the ball with heavy topspin the better, if it bounces short it's going to get eaten up real quick by someone like me :P

Key thing to remember with slow spinny loops is not to execute the shot SLOWLY. Yes you are hitting the ball slow, but the weight transfer and body movement must still be fast to convert power into topspin. The angle of your swing and your bat must be the same, more open and vertical in this...

I dunno if standing in the middle is the BEST way, you should always practice with matchplay in mind. If you want to practice backhand looping then really you should be considering serving with spin and angles where you can predict a high probability of the ball being returned to your backhand...

I don't do much training in the area of looping consistency, most of my training is for third ball attack. I guess consistenly looping 30-50 balls is great practice against blocks, but really at the end of the day do you want to find yourself in a match having to hit that many balls for one...

Was a close one for him, RSM and Shibaev had some great chances to ruin him!
