  1. Is it possible? Blade question.

They are the same composition. I think even Freitas said Butterfly just switched the Maze handle and job's done. But I think the Maze ALC looked better 🫣 Performance wise should be about the same anyway. Confirmation of that:
  2. Is it possible? Blade question.

I think the Freitas ALC would be something like that. ALC is more flexy on hard hits and the limba top is soft for weaker touch. Actually I'm unsure why this composition didn't take off more, Maze ALC was the same and that was an amazing blade, I assume Freitas ALC is the same with a different...
  3. 2024 Sanwei Target 3 National

I bought a STN3 from taobao for 80RMB maybe, so dirt cheap, maybe like 10USD shipped. Hard version and I have to say on Mizutani ZLC it is great. I remembered it had low arc, but on this blade it's great. I can't really even say that Mizutani ZLC is a blade that makes amazing arcs to begin with...
  4. Blade’s weight depending on humidity? How much?

Awww man... that's so hard to ask. Maybe Battle 3 is a good shot at that. I think it handles humidity better since it's rather matte and sticky. I'm unsure about the red colored one tho a little bit. I used the black and there is difference between chinese black and red rubbers. When I was in...
  5. Blade’s weight depending on humidity? How much?

@longle @lodro I know exactly hhhhh Actually I like playing against such players if there is no humidity. And I like when a very trained sports university player loses against them too hhhhh it's so funny to see their face. All the great multiball training and can't beat some junk rubber player...
  6. Blade’s weight depending on humidity? How much?

Same in China, when it's so humid table tennis becomes a different sport. And some balls slip more than others in humid weather too. Humidity is my enemy but I bet the LP pen "attackers" love it.
  7. Blade’s weight depending on humidity? How much?

I remember when I was young the highly ranked players always said old wood (like 20-30 year old) are dried out and feel the best. They were talking mostly about the old Stiga blades. I don't know about dried out being the case, I suppose they are just worn in and become softer and maybe that...
  8. Butterfly Omar Assar innerforce zlc (500 pcs worldwide)

Where's the info coming from that this is a 500pcs limited edition blade? Based on their website it looks like a normal ZLC blade. They aren't mentioning anything special about it nor does it have any special features or wood.

Something is wrong there. 2 days is like speed glue territory. In fact probably with H3N speedglue lasts longer. Actually in China I still see many use speed glue every day. And I get it too, it's nice, and predictable doesn't fuck up their rubber or blade. (actually back home many older folks...
  10. Something stuck on the rubber?

Maybe the index finger is slippery on sticky rubbers, so sands off the sticky layer. Some people's skin is slippery, some isn't.

The National "gold package" for me was a dud. The golden version is not bad. B3 much better, but it needs boosting not because it's too slow or dead, but because glue doesn't stick to it if you don't boost. The rubber falls off the glue like paper from magnet leaving the glue on the blade intact...
  12. Need help finding a backhand rubber that is as good or better than fastarc g1

Fair, but you shouldn't compare the old Mantra to the new Mantra Pro. Mantra Pro is really nice to use, just like a 1 layer FTL boosted G-1, but the mantra, you don't need to boost. Also, very cheap on aliexpress.

For me H3BS it last about 2 months if I push it. I think Battle 3 lasts longer tho, 3-4 months. I'm so torn tho too. I like H3BS, I like B3, maybe B3 has more potential, it has stronger topsheet(I especially notice that with old D40 DHS balls that don't wanna spin at all), and more durable and...
  14. Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together.

That title is a bit of a clickbait. Table tennis influencer is like saying Zhang Jike is influencer only and his past achievements are miracles. Still great job from Yu Heyi. Wonder if he's playing with Battle 3 or he was only the sponsoring head of it 🌚
  15. Pro LP/inverted penholder

Lot of Chinese playing this style, many use illegal pips, illegal serves too, but it's great fun to play against them once you figure out how. Then they are easy to beat.
  16. Time to try Hurricane 3

Just a fun fact, I have been asking people in China who uses expansion oil who doesn't on their H3BS. Surprisingly many girls/women around the 1800-2000 (you can just basically add 200 points to reach about German TTR) Chinese points don't use booster. They buy/get 39 degree national H3N BS glue...
  17. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I tried boosting the 40.5 with two layers back when I got one but it really didn't want to produce speed for me. Actually I liked it more on the backhand like that 🤕
  18. Help me understand the massive diversity in price range of all wood 5 ply blafes

You do have to pay for brand, player name, manufacturing location, used materials. While I guess the typical Loki blade is just mass produced without much thought about the used wood I wager the Lebrun and Korbel is made from at least some kind of selected wood by people who have some idea how...
  19. New Vega rubbers

Xiom's rubber naming isn't particularly helpful. I kind of get why everyone just buys the trustworthy and safe Vega series. And I am talking about local league players. Vega X is priced usually super well, it's an easy sell. (other Vegas also priced well usually) Maybe some try to experiment...
