  1. How to measure blade frequency?

Okk, I just read it again, for some reason some parts just didn't register. Makes sense, thanks for the clarification!
  2. How to measure blade frequency?

How about same blade/composition and different weight? That's what I was referring to.
  3. Short review of Glayzer 09c

Tenergy is double the speed, tension and double the responsiveness. I play tenergy 05 for half a decade and also played rozena for a year. They are nothing alike.
  4. How to measure blade frequency?

Lighter blades are less dense. A lighter blade will flex and vibrate more and act like a catapult, it will shoot off the ball earlier from its surface due to the vibrations and the lack of mass won't transfer the power efficiently to the ball.
  5. Short review of Glayzer 09c

I agree that Flextra and Sriver were good for beginners... In the 80's... These rubbers aren't only outdated, expensive and hard to find, they're made for a different game. They lack grip, feedback, the sponge is soft and mushy, the topsheet is synthetic rubber, and that's beyond bad, they...
  6. Short review of Glayzer 09c

Yeah... I had a bad couple of months during the time of that post, covid damaged my respiratory and was in constant stress for months on end. I wasn't thinking straight during that period. Other than that, Battle 2 gold is part of their provincial line, it's much more consistant than the...
  7. Short review of Glayzer 09c

I'm the original poster, Played them both on fh and bh. Glayzer is hard and doesn't really have the dignics feel, grip is much lower and it doesn't really have a special feel like most BTY rubbers, it is like a Rozena without the amazing feel and feedback. It feels like classic hard-no tension...
  8. Is the BTY Korbel (EU) head size and weight a problem?

Thank you for the feedback! I'll watch out for the weight then, I'll take my clipper with me and compare the center of mass relative to weoght to it and I'll go from there. Btw the hollow feeling is that boxy sound you get from very light blades and thin rubbers. Some blades have that sound...
  9. Is the BTY Korbel (EU) head size and weight a problem?

I've been using stiga Intensity for quite some time now. I love that blade but I decided on the korbel because I want something softer. The Intensity is also light, 80 grams. I've also played with Donic Persson Power AR V1 and Stiga Clipper Wood. Never had an issue with any of them. From what...
  10. What blade would you recommend for someone stepping down from carbon?

Nah, clipper is really controllable and has a lower throw compared to the others. That's why I have 2!
  11. Is the BTY Korbel (EU) head size and weight a problem?

That's really weird, do you remember the weight of the blade?
  12. Is the BTY Korbel (EU) head size and weight a problem?

I play with stiga Intensity that is naturally head heavy. Is it just a bit more head heavy than normal bty blades, or is it extreme, more than stiga or dhs? My current blade, Intensity, is 80gr. I'm thinking of choosing 82~85gr korbel. Do you feel your 78 hollow? Also if you don't mind, what...
  13. Is the BTY Korbel (EU) head size and weight a problem?

I'm looking to try out a European Korbel but I'm kinda worried it may be too headheavy because I read it has a longer head, unless it's not true. I'm putting on it a Battle 2 gold and friendship 802, does anyone have experience with it? Is it fine with heavier rubbers or is it a wrist snapper...
  14. Recommend blade under $35

Oh you're a smart one, aren't you? Actually I take that back, don't wanna insult anyone actually smart in the forum.
  15. Recommend blade under $35

Or just buy something that isn't a pile of crap? This is a cheap blade for beginners. And varnish was the best you could come up with? Put that on and it'll be like playing with a cinderblock.
  16. Recommend blade under $35

All the beginners have that in our club, they splinter and tear off entire chunks if you look at them wrong. Stay away from that garbage.
  17. What blade would you recommend for someone stepping down from carbon?

Was in a similar boat, clipper wood worked great. Korbel and Infinity would be really good too.
  18. Alternative to Nittaku PK50 (and 8-80) ?

Goldarc 8 47,5 is a really great rubber. Tons of spin, low speed, great feel, medium throw, easy short game, and it's a tensor, so you can play it even when tired. Goldarc 5 is pretty good too but slower with more control and isn't a tensor. Both are German ESN rubbers.
  19. What blade would you recommend for someone stepping down from carbon?

Fextra 5 should be fine, koto-spruce-ayous. Should have a crispy feeling with great dwell and control. They're cheap too, 15~20 euros.
  20. Why does Dima twindle on smashes?

That's very interesting. So they were probably waiting for the Donic deal to end before he officially switched over to butterfly?
